The digital human and avatar market size is estimated to reach $527.58bn (£429bn) globally by 2030, according to projections by market consulting company Emergen Research.
At least four of K-pop's biggest entertainment companies are investing heavily in virtual elements for their stars, and five of the top-earning K-pop groups of 2022 are getting in on the trend.
Using virtual copies of themselves allow them to reach fans across time zones and language barriers - in ways that flesh-and-blood artists would never be able to do. During the Covid-19 pandemic Moon Sua and her K-pop group Billlie had to cancel their live performances and fan meets. Instead, the band's management company created virtual copies of band members, to throw a party for fans in the virtual world.
"Since it was our first time doing it, we were a bit clumsy," says Sua. "But as time went by, we got used to it, talking with the fans while adapting to the virtual world. We had such a good time."
Moon Sua was impressed by how real the group's avatars looked, but says she still prefers to meet with their followers in person.
"I don't think it's something threatening. Maybe we can learn skills from watching them? I don't think they are a threat that can replace us," says the band's main rapper.

KPOP LUX (company number 14132899 ) was set up for 3 reasons and is a 100% owned subsidiary of lvcg and included in the scope of their audit in the same way that other subsidiaries like Bricklive are).
1. Tax purposes for this global division.
2. To hold the IP (and the fact that the company name was changed over the course of this year from KPOP.FLEX global to K.FLEX Global then to KPOP LUX is a big clue as to that;-))
3. To provide a vehicle other than KPE for SBS to contract with for KPOP festivals (In order to give a better share of future festivals for lvcg).

This is a clear (and actually quite simple) ownership structure for this multi division global company. This was set up from the start as a 100% owned subsidiary of LVCG . Anyone suggesting that the Chairman has somehow set this up to benefit himself via either some kind of share ownership structure or for the purposes of some kind of salary syphoning wheeze are having to twist the actual facts completely out of shape.

And as to the upside, if the festival has the right headline acts and is a sellout (the involvement of SBS hopefully guarantees this), the costs of providing the acts is reduced, and lvcg have a better slice of the pie then the profits from this event will be much better than Frankfurt 22. If you do the maths for the costs and filling the 2nd day, Frankfurt 22 would have made closer to £2m overall profit, and that’s without the streaming or factoring in that more KPOP loons would have bought more KPOP merchandise.

I could explain in detail exactly why you are wrong, but it’s pointless arguing with you. Para 11 of the recent interims shows what you are suggesting is nonsense.

You are the one wilfully misrepresenting the situation on LUX. It’s 100% owned by lvcg and as the chairman of lvcg all payments to him in any shape or form including related related transaction have to be declared. If you look at the interims no such payments as you are trying to insinuate have taken place in any of the subsidiaries owned by lvcg. Sorry if that fact spoils the narrative you are trying to spin.

Sorry, but you are totally wrong bennester. As the chairman of lvcg all payments to him in salary and related party transactions have to be declared, so saying that he can somehow syphon off money without it being declared is nonsense. The interims clearly showed the payments to him for salary etc and he is not doing what you claim he is.

And LUX is a 100% subsidiary of LVCG, clearly set up to manage that division and ensure the right treatment of taxation for this global division. The fact that it will also help any sale of the division is just a byproduct ;-) What you are insinuating is 100% wrong. I hope for your sake that the company are not reading what you accusing the Chairman of.

The big question is whether DC is finally doing what he said he would do? When I spoke to him months ago his intent was to deliver a new partnership with SBS that was better for LVCG shareholders, constrain the costs of providing the acts and deliver an expanding KPOP festivals throughout Europe. Todays RNS for me shows that he’s delivering on what he said he would do. This arrangement looks materially better for LVCG.

Except that KPOP LUX is 100% owned by lvcg and has been set up as a subsidiary, so claiming that its a DC private entity is totally misleading.

New partnership with SBS announced for a new KPOP concert in Madrid in the 52 thousand seater stadium. SBS will also be the partner for the O2 event in London. This is now with KPOP LUXa 100% subsidiary of LVCG so should have much better upside than with KPE.

Whatever you decide to do Sue good luck. It’s not been been an easy share to hold and it’s always more difficult on down days and if you lose faith in the future it’s even harder to hold. Those that say DC is “in it for himself”, well aren’t all AIM CEO’s/Chairmen, so it’s hardly a revalation, but at least DC is significantly invested in the company and will gain more from making the share price go up and selling the company. My own views on DC are well known, the guy is a narcissist, but I don’t need to like him to invest and I’m still banking on him going from zero to hero in record time. The involvement of Jason Lee and the digital part of StartArt might just be the thing that really turns lvcg around and if that takes off it would make the aquisition of 100% of StartArt look like a bargain (and he and RM are taking the shares there at 6p, so it’s not like they are totally taking the Michael). The KPOP division which is where DC seems to be spending the most of his time, which is probably where the big upside is too. There is obviously a lot of news to come in the short term and with comms improving and the fact that funding of £750,000 over the next few months is being done at 3p (which also means there won’t be placing flippers and there are also no convertible loan arrangements) should act as a catalyst for share price movement, which if you are going to sell some would be the time to do it IMO i.e. you sell into volume not when there’s no bid. From the SP movement today it’s clear there isn’t much free float, so it won’t take much buying pressure to take off.

HL it depends on what his role was at TCG and when he was employed. From what I can make out I don’t believe he was the CFO there. He was at Earnest and Young for 7 years and has also been involved in some tech start ups. The fact that he’s already prepared to take salary shares at 3p is a big positive.

Seems to have a very good background and experience as a CFO. Given he’s mainly worked on much larger companies, it seems a bit of a coo to land him at lvcg.

Good luck on dark HL. I’m still banking on the (soon to be) new Board members bringing better communications and a better direction as well as providing better balance to DCs behaviour. Bringing Jason Lee onboard with a significant stake in the company is a big positive in that regard too. Todays RNS was an indication that has started IMO. The upside from a sub £6m mcap if they land all the things being hinted at could be significant. I personally think that they are headed into a healthy profit this year, (and will exceed the profit posted by dark last Sep.). When they land a series of multi year KPOP festivals across the globe I’m also banking on a takeover/sale from a bigger player, there are plenty who might be interested.

What to make of the heading of the KPOP section of todays RNS? We already know of KFLEX, what other are they planning? Does this have something to do with operating with different partners/broadcasters?
