I think we are a long way off Capita being up for sale as there is much to do to maximise value for those that would push for that. Maybe 2 years if that was a serious option. I would love to know what is pushing the SP back down though if anybody on here with knowledge and wisdom can share (that rules you out aimless and cabbage). It is because the share is so volatile and there is a renewed lack of confidence around the CSPS or can the Market Makers drive it down at will? I can intelligently guess so looking for a more solid view based on experience and understanding of how markets work please. If there is a good update end of June on CSPS and the H1 results in August are on plan with encouraging H2 Outlook then this goes back up to over £4.50 before year end. Just bonkers how it still jumps around so much.

Jordi, same response back word for word as per what you shared which I do not think good enough so will follow up. It’s healthy to debate this on here and share views and insight but I had to laugh at Cabbage, he is such a sad desperate pudding!

I emailed Helen last night as the Cabinet Office update, for me, contradicted her reply to my last email expressing concerns regarding this contract. Would probably not be a bad idea for you to email her too Adam to get some collective weight behind our genuine justified concerns.

My nervousness has always been Capita do have a track record of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Is that level of quote production meeting expectations ?? Maybe but does appear short of what they advised as per the previous update below. They better really get their A game dialled in over the course of this month as we all need to be hearing a very positive update come end of June. Quote production needs to pick up significantly over the next 4 weeks!

This below is taken from the update on the 14th May 2 weeks ago.

Capita has committed to post over 2,500 quotes by the end of this week and expects to maintain this increased level of quote production between now and the end of June. For more information about quotes and frequently asked questions read taskforce update #7 on the Civil Service Pensions website.

OA please don’t engage with the cabbage. He does not have the capability to reason and you engaging with him makes him think he is relevant and gets him all excited. He has a permanent downer on the CPI share regardless of the situation. He is simply best ignored as has consistently spouted hateful nonsensical drivel. Hangs around like a bad smell in the hope somebody will bite and engage with him.

Completely get why a few people would cash some of their CPI shares in today as is a very sound strategy especially if you have your eye on other companies that you think may move quicker over the summer. Full transparency…..I can’t be arsed (not the most sophisticated strategy I know). I have made my mind up that Capita will be at £6+ come H1 results 2027 bar any f#ck ups and will be more resilient than most to a crash as the share is so undervalued. For the long termers here, great that most of us are back in the black. The question now is……can we get rich(ish) of this share over the next couple of years!! Enjoy the BH weekend 😎

Ytee, to be clear though chap, you did not get anything right even though I do like that you come across as a very upbeat positive person. When the share was very low you randomly every day just played guess the share price. It was always going to recover from the lows of £1.90 and it was just how quickly and what was/is the ceiling. Personally I have no interest in daily guess the share price comments but insight, informed opinion, sharing of news, new contract wins, data based analysis, a long term view of the SP and business based on reasoning, all very interesting.

Am a little surprised by the continued momentum this morning, be interesting to see where this settles when trading closes for the BH weekend.

It is refreshing to get a stable statement confirming all on track in line with guidance. It is that stability that has been missing for so many years. If AH and team can repeat this for the next few trading statements then market confidence will really start to come back and the SP will start to move. Crazy to think still at just 22p old money when not that long ago we were all over the place with no cohesive long term plan and at 40p old money! Starting to feel like we finally have deep rooted solid foundations for this business with a clear strategy focusing on much better margined tech/AI led business that importantly is starting to pull through into results. Just need a longer period of stability with no f&ck ups. If the August update delivers on plan and the CSPS is all in a good place come that update then I think this could really move in the latter half of the year back over £4. 2027 then needs to be the step change year in terms on financial results that get this back to 40p in old money or £6+ in today’s world which would be very nice for all of us, thank you very much.

Simples, calm down no panic here. Obviously it would take a couple of years for government to break free from the contract but don’t be so naive to think that the termination of the contract would not set the transformation plan and SP back at least a year and have a knock on effect to the synergy contract and other government opportunities in the pipeline. Now, I do not think that will be lowed to happen as the smart people at Capita will be all too aware of the impact, however, they do have an annoying habit of getting it wrong but hopefully the data breach, failings of the RM contract that led to termination, not meeting deadlines for milestone payments on the CSPS Contract are all behind us. I am more invested in this share then most so nobody needs this to succeed more than me but am also a realist that looks at the facts and not a blind ramper. I am also comforted that Stavely will ensure pressure is applied in the right way to help us stay on the right path.

Thanks Trisor , I also read the slightly more detailed update linked off this too and it feels like Capita are just about on track by the skin of their teeth and keeping the administration of the scheme satisfied but there is zero wriggle room. I worry a little that the lead owner of the recovery plan is retiring in July 2026 so this could go two ways. One the new person is too green to make any big decisions so will be supportive and aligned to continue working with Capita even if one or two minor bumps in the road, two, they wish to make a mark and if Capita is seen to be still falling short over the summer. They could bow to pressure from the unions and the ministers the unions ‘own’. Biggest frustration for me, this is completely within Capita’s gift to get back on track and it would be incredibly slack and poor management if the have not thrown the kitchen sink at this in terms of resources and priorities. This contract can not be allowed to fail and they need to ensure they have all bases covered to ensure that is not the case as the current political climate will afford them zero wriggle room if they fall short again. I truly hope AH and his exc team fully understand this and are all over the detail on a weekly basis.

Hi Ytee, I know others have already pointed this out but not sure why you feel the need to play guess the share price every day. We tend to leave that to 'Pointless'. Share insight and evidence based opinion but just guessing the SP based on nothing but hope every day is not adding too much value fella. It just doesn't mean anything.

Not that I thought it would change priorities or focus but was very keen to make sure Capita know how important getting the CSPS Contract is to us LTHs and how unforgiving the market and we will be, if they do not get it right. See response from Helen Paris at IR as below to my fair but strongly worded note asking for assurances . Nothing new to read or shared by her but I thought it important Capita SLT are in no doubt how much importance us as investors put on them delivering on agreed expectations in relation to this contract come end of June….

This exchange did make me laugh. @Trenners has always been one of the most polite, inclusive, knowledgeable and balanced voices on here yet seeing him get pelters from the board recently and particularly over this topic when he was correctly just being helpful and pointing out the misinterpretation of a large buy did make me chuckle. It really is a bear pit in here!

Guys, come on, don’t engage with pointless and cabbage (same person as we all know). They bate you with their drivel and nonsense as they want to stay relevant and feel part of this board. You give them energy and relevance by acknowledging their pathetic existence. If they were balanced then fine but they just spout hate, lies and negativity. Please just ignore them as if you reply I have to then try and skip past their twisted anti-life and anti-joy follow up responses.

Would a long term peace deal in the Iran war be too much to ask for going into the weekend? Seriously, that war will impact all investments not directly benefiting. If we could see that brought to a conclusion over the next 3-4 weeks before the June update and still be on track to stabilise CSPS with this clearly confirmed in market update, well, then the SP could really start to move

Look, the first year of the CSPS is about making sure Capita keep the contract and if/when the service stabilises and the AI tools start delivering the efficiencies expected that contract is going to deliver healthy profit for the next 8-9 years if extended and open doors for other add ons to the contract and be an awesome reference for new business. This is what the market will judge, not the financial performance in year 1 of the contract and IF by end of June is in a much more stable better place, it is the profit and revenue this will deliver over the long term. So if it does cost an extra few million this FY but is sorted and we are ticking the KPIs and milestones to get paid from July onwards and the threat of terminating becomes fish and chip paper, the market will view it very favourably and not be overly concerned that it cost a few extra million in year 1 to stabilise. I personally want CPI to spend whatever it takes to get this contract working as is so important to their credibility with the government for this contract and for future AI led contracts. Prove you can deliver on this and the next 10 years really open up including trust in implementing the NEW Synergy contract. Don’t fuss over a little extra cost to implement, it is not the key factor here, it is getting the contract working that will boost the SP far more than a little extra cost.

Because it is a volatile share that overreacts both positively and negatively to news. It needs a period of stability and delivery on the Outlook/plan for the SP to get going again, nothing more. No more f*ck ups, get normal service levels in place for CSPS, deliver on Outlook which will be further improved in market update in June I very much expect. Oh by the way the SP is 50% up over the last 12 months so it all depends how you look at it re the fall or rise of the SP. No miracles needed here, just deliver on plan and the SP will get back over £4 and as a conservative prediction be over £4.50 by next full results update in March 2027. The caveat being no more f&ck ups!

It is the ultimate share that keeps on taking just when you think we might be on stable ground. I still think this business can fly but totally get why many have lost patience when there are faster moving shares to invest in. Full transparency, if I pull out now I will lose money so bar a major collapse and have no choice to save what I can will ride out to summer 2027 as always planned and see where we are at. If over £4 or we are fortunate enough to be close to £4.50 by then, I will sell up as just too stressful to be a CPI long term holder. It still feels there is still so much opportunity to get this right and finally give us some value back but there always to seems to be a f&ck up round the corner. We just need a period of stability for the rest of this FY and we might slowly see this share rise again, I hope!

Savage and Aim (99% sure is the same person) will never leave this board as they are either paid or mentally unstable, have nothing else in their lives so focus all their energy on a negative narrative. No balance so absolutely pointless debating with them, PERIOD! Yet too many on here are too weak of mind to simply ignore them and you give them the platform they crave, the attention mummy never gave them and you make them relevant. Use the green filter option, filter out both their nicknames and the board makes for so much better reading. If we all ignore them, they have not relevance, they do not exist.
