The BBC news website under the heading “The biggest test for testing is yet to come” comments that “The ultimate goal will be to provide testing to anyone who needs it in the whole population so local outbreaks can be contained once lockdown restrictions begin to be eased”. “But for containment to work that will need tests that can be turned around quickly - it can still take 72 hours from start to finish for some”. I totally agree with this BBC comment and in this respect I think Genedrives POC testing, which eliminates the need for return to Lab and all the related logistical activity, therefore enabling almost instant diagnosis, will be of a huge competitive advantage.
