Deputy Prime Minister S. Amarsaikhan, who is on a working visit to the United Kingdom as part of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the United Kingdom, met with British Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Dominic Raab today and discussed bilateral relations and cooperation.
At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister S. Amarsaikhan said that Mongolia attaches great importance to the relationship and cooperation that Mongolia is developing with the United Kingdom as part of its third neighborhood policy, and is ready to support any initiative of the United Kingdom aimed at intensifying trade and economic relations. Britain expressed gratitude for the new trade scheme for developing countries and the decision to include our country in its expanded program.
Further cooperation in the implementation of Mongolia's long-term social and economic development policy, including the "New Revival Policy" approved by the government, and a request for funding from the UK for the implementation of the "Smart City" project in this context. Also, the Government of Mongolia paid special attention to the development of the tourism sector and mentioned that citizens of 34 countries, including the United Kingdom, have been exempted from visa requirements.

On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Dominic Raab mentioned that the British Government is paying particular attention to the development of relations and cooperation with Asian countries as part of its Indo-Pacific Tilt policy, and the relations it is developing with Mongolia are good. said that he sees it as an example. That is why the UK is paying special attention to the relationship it is developing with Mongolia, and is fully supporting and cooperating in establishing a partnership and cooperation agreement, renewing the Air Transport Agreement, and establishing a memorandum on export financing. In the future, he expressed his readiness to cooperate in the direction of increasing the interest of British entrepreneurs in entering the Mongolian market, attracting trade and investment, and strengthening the capacity of Mongolia based on the experience of Britain.
He also mentioned that the "Smart City" project presented by Deputy Prime Minister S. Amarsaikhan could be a reference project that will give real results, similar to the Oyu Tolgoi project, and stated that he would discuss the possibility of cooperation in this direction with other related organizations. He also expressed his interest in visiting Mongolia if there is an opportunity.
