In the same carriage as you R_P, been a great journey and not planning to get off anytime soon. Worked my average down so at least above breakeven but the funds have been tied up for 3 years so looking for a good bit more having endured the turmoil pf Grant Shapps aka Michael Green.

The company should grow into being back above £5 and then I will be happier.

The recent spike and fall back has been a great consolidation and with a bit of a market rally, this should blast through the intraday 347 spike and beyond.

Surprised that the DFT news did not spike it back towards where is had been prior to Shapps as the compan is leaner, fitter, stronger.

The opportunity to fill that gap is only around the corner as the DOW hits 40k.

All the way back to 220 perhaps for a retest but will add incrementally on the way down at the breaks as HBR can rise 10-15% at any given point.

Hoping that the 260/270 is the new base as we move to complete the merger. Aiming to trade within the 260-320 range until that changes. Not expecting the 220p unless the deal meets difficulties with reg approvals.

Looking back, seeing you raised it, I started higher initially at 350 in Nov 22 following fall from over £5 & £4 got me interested. Added to average down and timed an exit at 318p above my average cost. Not daunted entered again at 297 exiting at 322, lowering my average. Waited a while, several months then added, snooker racking, all the way down to the from 280p to 220p, trimming on move up at 276. 303 and above 315 and 318.

Bought too soon at times and sold too early but now have this at a decent core investment with an average at just around £2.

Investing is never staightforward, but there is a bit of flesh.

Never give up on a trade that moves against you as paper losses are transient.

Not for everyone but in a portfolio is works well (until it doesn't)

Feel bad for those on the announcement day that added 325p + when others were trimming. Add trim rinse repeat and the average cost tumbles over time.

Under certain conditions, the German government can prohibit a company takeover, if the buyer is not from the European Union.

However BASF wants out and the deal will no doubt go ahead.

Seems a good level to increase holding for the merger ahead.

The Board of XYZ notes the recent speculation and confirms that it has received an unsolicited and conditional proposals from Anybody Management, Inc. regarding a possible cash offer to acquire the entire issued and to be issued ordinary share capital of XYZ.

The Board concludes that they each significantly undervalued the repositioned Group's prospects.

That would be good news. Not ruling it in or out bu it keeps me in the stock for such an eventuality.
