As regards those who have £100k or more in this, my educated guess is that they know the risks, are playing this as part of a diversified portfolio and can afford to take the risk v the reward.

When at that level of investment all eggs are never in one basket.

As for your fake concern about others losing money, perhaps it is philanthropic, based on your "lived experiences" and if so I will continue my prayers for you.

I completed my switch to 100% ISA.

Should this recover in an ISA, a lot of funds become available to potentially crystallise other losses in a similar way.

S&p 5000, called it several times last year and dow 40k when few believed it possible.

Profit taking will happen at some point before consolidation.

Why tosh kpa? Some have that and more.

1/4 million is still potentially worth 40% ormore as a capital loss and if you have switch to an ISA any recovery is tax free too.

Eg An illustration

£100,000 invested @ £1 in a non ISA account

Switched to ISA when @ 25p ..... realised 75% of a taxable loss.

If ISA SP recovers to £1 then an ISA quadruple and a 75k tax offset worth 30k to protect other gains.

Even if 100% lost then 40k of taxable losses to offset.

Never a full write off if done right.
