The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Hi Tibbs,
Followed your posts on here since day 1 and particularly appreciated your "man on the train" narratives. Presume he now drives as fed up with train delays and standing room only.
With Endeavour disinclined to enter mutual due diligence and requesting an extension I am personally (and this is not an informed opinion but just my own thoughts and have no evidence to suggest this is the case) as to whether the Endeavour approach is a smoke screen to hide their true balance sheet position. Their debt and profitability situation is well documented of course.
Regarding trading into the book under leveraged CFD acess I would not like any private investor to consider this as capital depreciation can very quickly occur !!!! .
Kindest regards and seasons greetings

Many thanks for your advice, however my role is now as a PRIVATE AND NOT PROFESSIONAL OR EXPERT investor and as such is not liable to take over regulations or rules. Yes I have previously been a Market maker as such AND DEALT DIRECTLY INTO THE BOOK THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SPREAD which few here have any idea as to what that advantage they may have the ability to realise.
I have no axe to grind on this as I am somewhat more directed to other more important investments and the global balance which is currently in the balance.
However I reiterate that the Institutional investors will decide this issue and small private investors are a minor player.
I note that you have been on this board since August 2019.
Happy either way.

Dear Mr Ironmonger,
Thank you for your email. In view of the possible offer from Endeavour, Centamin is now in an offer period for the purposes of the Takeover Code and subject to regulation by the Takeover Panel, which provides strict boundaries on communications. You are therefore referred to the announcements that have already been released by Centamin. The proposal by Endeavour is not a firm intention to make an offer and there can be no certainty that an offer will be made. The Centamin board strongly advise that shareholders take no action in respect of this proposal at this stage.
Centamin will ensure that all shareholders and other stakeholders are informed by way of publicly issued announcements as and when appropriate.
Kind regards,
Chris
Let us assume that Sawiris is sufficiently in control of EMRA that he can obtain a tier one asset at bargain basement price , what does that say to all other possible investors in Egypt. We are not as small investors party to the proffessional machinations of large Corporations but their expertise is far beyond our wildest dreams. Interesting to compare the holdings of say Blackrock and other global investors in Centamin to those they hold in Endeavour and correlate the cash
return values over a 5 year period. Happy to share my research with those sufficiently interested but caution in that an 8 % return over a short term is of far more interest to a professional market maker than the POSSIBILITY of 20% on the longer term.
I am satisfied at 120 ish as I hold from when we were waiting for the crusher plant to arrive from South America, and dividends have been very welcome to my pension pot held in successive ISAS since. Indeed wobbles when they went to 23p but held on. Have followed this board and rarely post but but Institutional holders are the key to what happens next big time. Interesting that shorts are at an all time low . But what do I know. Next 21 days should prove both interesting and informative. Recent Board shuffle equally to be considered.
Thankfully not totally in Centamin but may wish I had been but no bottle.
Regards Bob
