He's entitled to his opinion, but he's been hijacked by anti-vax campaigners - he didn't know that he would become their poster boy. His own opinion was that vaccination has been beneficial.

The other comments I came across, thought it would be useful to share not as a point scoring but just to show that others have contrary views.

"For those people getting upset by the pre-readout price action, remember that in the month prior to P2 results the price dropped from 45p to 33p."

I remember the price action clearly and was lucky enough to buy at close to the 33pm mark and averaged down. Here is to more times like those.

However on reflection after comments from various posters, which I take onboard, I realise there are some very important points that I missed.

There are two counter arguments, but the crucial penny dropping moment is when I realised that they are not mutually exclusive:

1. Lack of correct vaccination led to the large hospitalisations in the US

2. The US population is in ill health and over weight etc. and this lead to the high hospitalisation.

Both views can draw on evidence, but they don't have to be exclusive views. Lets say people want a choice of understanding the science and chose not to get vaccinated or are just against vaccinations. Lets also assume that irrespective of the vaccination program some people due to obesity and other underlying health problems are in hospital with covid due to these health issues. We can't force people to take the vaccine and we can't force people to make healthier life choices - we can only encourage them.

What that means is that irrespective of our views, the US is a case example of why covid is a long term problem. Whether it's due to lack of vaccination or underlying health issues there will be a large amount of the population who will get covid and as such this would allow for a reservoir for the virus to mutate and propagate.

The best we can do is encourage vaccination, and deploy diagnostics and specifically for us therapeutics for the long term. We have to live with this and as such live with the prospect that testing is here to stay and Synairgen will have an important part to play for years to come.

The huge rise in covid-19 hospitalisation in the US and I take on board that perhaps these individuals are overweight and ill. I also accept that some people will say that taking the vaccine is a choice. Therefore this suggests that there will be a case for lateral flow tests in the long term. Below just to balance some views re: dr not wishing to take vaccines.

Doc appreciate your breakdown of myokardia and others. Something to account for is total NPS. Ignoring potential revenue in favour of it being single asset reduces its true value.

NDN-Wyndrum what's your joint strategy on this board? Is it similar to HE1, Avacta etc?

@matlm "...no generics coming along" indeed it was the case and I'm fully aware of the patent expiry.

There are many other acquisition or drug development examples. Which im also very familiar with. I don't see a directly inhaled interferon beta therapy for covid, broad antiviral, copd or loxl2 competitors. Secondly, the demand with stockpiling is exceptional and I very much doubt many other drugs would have had such a positive impact on a pandemic. I agree with you this should be quite positive for Synairgen.

It will be resolved soon as the process has been carried out by Abingdon before and follows standard process. Majority of previous work will not be changed. Also see comments from Reaper, regarding it being days not weeks, this is looking a short term pause.

@Reaper also made a fantastic post analysing the link provided in the Avacta RNS. There the FDA provides directions to tests impacted by the FDA. The turn around time was days not weeks.
