First time i have seed the share price rise after the release of results!
Not sure that's the best idea.
Received Final Dividend on the 4th, but no sign of the Special Dividend. Anyone else having the same problem?
Nothing to do with dividends being reinvested (DRIP) as they are purchasing existing shares. Ex-Dividend date is when you see the price drop by the divided amount usually as that is the drop in the MCAP.
I'm a long term holder, still a daft idea, no money in it.

I know that any company can be a takeover target, but surely one of the big fish will see the potential here?
Good update, down we go
What's their Ticker?
"Therefore the Board is recommending a final dividend in respect of 2020 of 7.3p per share, bringing the total dividend for the year to 14.6p per share. The Board intends to maintain the total dividend at this level until covered at least 1.5 times by adjusted capital generation, at which point the Board will seek to grow the dividend in line with its assessment of underlying medium term growth in profitability"

...usual market reaction.

The currency in which Cairn 's ordinary shares are traded on Euronext Dublin will remain Euro. The Company's financial statements will continue to be presented in Euro.
The IS couldn't have bought the shares before they sold, the shares weren't available.
I would have thought the sale was a positive. https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/markets/article-9100049/A-happy-New-Year-AJ-Bell-founder-cashes-17m-shares.html
Not at all Cheapsharesboy. Best of luck .
Please do leave, then perhaps you can stop posting here?
You keep calling it a dividend, which it was not. If it was it could have been reinvested through the DRIP plan. I used the payment to repurchase the shares lost through the consolidation.
