No RI now (if all goes according to plan). A friend was saying shorters could have used the RI to accumulate shares to close their positions - they can't do that now......what a shame.....lol. As Atrocity Exhibition says on iii - "The assets (A- Miran) which the market so prudently valued at "Zero" now have the potential to fully fund a cash generating asset which has been aquired at a fraction of its true worth, for a fraction of the total asset sale (A- Miran)" So......fun and games today I hope!

The Rights Issue and the Advanced Capital Raisings Conditional upon receipt by the Company of Proceeds on or prior to 22 August 2012, the Proposed Rights Issue would no longer be required. In addition, none of the advanced capital raisings referred to in the announcement dated 6 August 2012 relating to the Proposed Rights Issue would, in such circumstances, be required at this time. If the Proceeds are not received on or prior to 22 August 2012, the Company intends to continue with the Proposed Rights Issue. Following completion of the Sale and drawdown of the Loan, the Company intends to publish a supplementary Prospectus and a supplementary Circular, expected on 23 August 2012. It is still intended that the EGM to approve the Proposed Acquisition will be held on 30 August 2012. 21 August 2012 Heritage Oil Plc ("Heritage" or the "Company") HERITAGE ANNOUNCES THE SALE OF AN INTEREST IN THE MIRAN BLOCK AND RECEIPT OF AN EXCHANGEABLE LOAN FOR COMBINED PROCEEDS OF $450 MILLION Heritage (LSE: HOIL), an independent upstream exploration and production company, and its wholly owned subsidiary, Heritage Energy Middle East Limited ("HEME"), announce signed binding agreements with Genel Energy plc ("Genel") for: (i) the sale of a 26% interest in the production sharing contract relating to the Miran Block (the "Miran PSC") in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq ("Kurdistan") and corresponding interest in the related joint operating agreement (the "Miran JOA") to Genel for cash consideration of $156 million (the "Sale"); and (ii) a $294 million exchangeable loan to be provided by Genel to the Company contemporaneously with completion of the Sale (the "Loan"). The Sale is expected to be completed, and the Loan drawn down, on or before Wednesday, 22 August 2012. Evening chaps. As far as I can make out, previous to this announcement if you held shares up to the close of business on the 28th August - you qualified for your Rights Issue shares ( as this is the Rights Issue record date). That hasn't changed. If on the 29th or 30th of August you were to sell your 'ordinary' shares, the buyer would normally not be entitled to the Rights as he bought them after the record date. This seems to have changed with the 'Due Bill' so now they ARE entitled to the RI shares (even though the 'Rights Issue Record Date' has been pasted) . This does only apply up to the 30th Aug though. Not sure if it applies to LSE as well - or if it's just for the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX). That is only my take on it and I guess if we don't get clarification, people should get financial advise - certainly don't take my word for it as I'm only surmising too. Big week this week, the next five days sp will be the deciding factor for the RI price - so lets hope for some movement north. If we are to have a placing, it will be this week too. Good luck all.

No worries.... A demon copy & paster....lol. I think a lot of people may sell part of their current holding, to pay for their remaining shares' Rights Issues. Most will do this when the price and allocation has been set, so they will know exactly how many they will need to sell. The timing is difficult as people wanting in on the RI may push up the price with all the buying. Nearer to the Rights issue record date - (close of business on the 28th August), some maybe selling to fund their RI so the price may drop........not easy! All imho of course..... GL all
