Gordon Stein, CFO of CleanTech Lithium, explains why CTL acquired the 23 Laguna Verde licenses. Watch the video here.
The longer they leave it the less it's worth to us.
Does a company earn interest on many in escrow? (not that it would be much.)
Does the sp simply reflect the depressed PoO? There seems to be a correlation. I'm smart like that...
So it follows than when the surplus runs down and the Russians and Saudis need to make more money the PoO and Shell et al will rise.
If in the meantime one has reinvested dividends the future looks ok.
Thing is, how far in the future?
In the meantime, how far can it fall? If I sell up now it will rise unexpectedly. If I don't it won't. Why is that always true? See my posts on Vod 12 Mar. I sold as headed for 1£ and now it's risen just as I predicted.
It's taken around 3 years to get back from crashes like 1987 which happened just as i made my first foray into the market. This time it's worse. I'd like to think div reinvestment at a lowwe price will make up some losses but I bet that doesn't happen.
On another point; we had an upswing late yeaterday which has been wiped out this morning. Who is reponsible for the re-pricing? Doesn't seem plausible to me that 'investors' piled in yesterday and then piled out this morning. So we must be left with MMs manipulating prices.
There seems to be a preponderance of posts dedicated to bashing each other than meaningful discussions on HUR as an investment.
I would say that no-one can know if this is gonna be a good investment.
It looks like the sp is being sustained above 10p simply due to short term trading. If investors just sat on their hands and waited to see how it plays out rather than trying to trade in and out the sp would sink to single digits.
I'm sure sub £1 is a real possibility. The VOD business operation is evidently flawed, racking up ridiculous debts and the only reason for the business to continue is for the benefit of the BOD so they can continue their salaries. Otherwise it is a shareholder wealth destroyer.
It would seem a safe bet to put on heavy shorts. The only reason I haven't done so to date is that every tactic I go for backfires. I should be able to force the price up by shorting it. Perhaps I'll look into that.
Historically it would always have been good to top up when there's a market rout.
Historically 'never sell Shell' was a good adage.
Things seem to be changing though.
Best we can hope for is a sustained dividend and modest rise over coming months.
If that doesn't happen then there's something serious going on in the world economy. Oil and gas still power almost everything.
Same here.
If LGEN can stay in business and keep paying the divi amount breakeven from recent highs is in about 5 years time if the sp sticks at this low level. Which is no good. All the growth is in the US funds - unless they're all stuffed for the foreseeable future too.
BP at £4 is bordering on the insane.
Surely it can't get any lower?
AAaaarrrrggghhh! What have I said?!
The buys outnumbering the sells might be erroneous. If the buy price is above the mid price it's reported as a buy and vice versa for a sell. As the spread is only 0.1p it could easily be wrong.
I would hope the buys ARE right though since it argues that investors are taking advantage of what they believe to be an overreaction. The problem is we are on a relentless downtrend. Just like BP,Shell, Voda, Lgen etc etc.....
I am also tempted but feel that the little rise is just day trader driven.
I really cannot decide from all I have read whether the stock is under or overvalued. I simply feel that there's a lot of proving to do otherwise the sp won't rise significantly.
The one thing I CAN be certain of is that any additional buy from me will sink the sp. Happens every time.
The high % yield is simply a function of the falling sp driven by the fall in oil price, antipathy towards fossil fuels and now the CV. We can only hope this isn't used as an excuse to adjust the dividend downwards. That'll cause a downward shift in the sp.
What do you mean by 'smoking gun'?
I don't think temp affects the lifecycle per se, rather - in cold weather people stay indoors more and immune systems are weaker.
It's its not it's by the way.
I feel that the current sp simply reflects a balance of buys and sells as investors trade in and out. I also feel that we will be kind of stuck at the current production level for the medium term. A rise in the oil price might give rise to a penny or so uptick. Any negatives will cause a further decline.
So there.
Marcus I agree totally. Every stock I've bought has always ended up making me a loss.
Jefferies upgrade was today. 1500 as I said. Maybe they're right after all as we're up nearly 5p.
