Our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with QuotedData's Edward Marten has just been released. Listen here.
At 66 and having been in this a long long time it's the eventually bit that concerns me. ??
Red or Rose Tinted....LOL
I agree totally Jaf. I'm invested and only recently topped up with 25k shares. I'm still invested because I do believe that this will come good at some point. I've been critical of Masterman in the past and still hold the view that he's mismanaged the build up and broken too many promises and as a man I no longer trust a word he says. But, I have to remember that he too is heavily personally invested and that its in his own interests to make this work. So I'm hoping to see 29p which means I'm back at evens and then I'll make a decision whether I cut and run or try for a bit of profit.
Wow Gold!!!...Just imagine if WRES had a gold mine...Oh hold on...we do. Whatever happened to the Gold? Seems just a dim and distant memory now as does my 43 bloody grand!!! Come on Masterman excract thy digit!
I like a good laugh. Unfortunately I don't find much to smile about in this other than when it drops below 5p which it probably will before long I can buy in again and further reduce my average.
I'd have hoped by today. It's not difficult is it really. Just add up everything sold by last Friday.... unless there is some creative accountancy occurring? Oh no! Did I just say that out loud!!!
Errrrrrrrrr that will be a no then....lol
I know! So out of character. The emphasis was on reducing my average lol
I'm also waiting till Mid August. for funds to be free and looking to buy other 25k shares (if available!)..to take me to 150k and further reduce my ave.......fingers crossed!
"next months update's going to be very interesting"....Understatement of the year. I'd have used the words critical or crucial. We need some serious figures in August to make the market (and me) really believe in the company and that there will be no more missed deadlines, broken promises, and false dawns. Not wanting to 9155 on anyone's parade but I've listened to Masterman telling us everything is alright on so many occasions when it hasn't been I may be forgiven for not believing him.
My bailout for this was always targeted at the end of this year when I get my state pension and was invested in to bolster that. So, as long as all goes as 'promised' now I may still be on track to bail then. £1 a share would be very acceptable by then....£5 would be even better but will never happen...lol.
£1 per share would make me quite happy. If it ever happens I will express my happiness and also my sheer disbelief...lol
It will make a very pleasant change for us to receive news that we have over achieved rather than the usual over promised and under delivered diatribes. I look forward with anticipation to being pleasantly surprised.
Ones position on this is dependent on your breakeven. I'm now at 29 having bought in again in these recent lows. I started out at 43p (using current values), reduced to 35p and then to 29p. I cannot see me getting 29p by q1 2022. But who knows? Bit of gold news may help.
I've got an ISA with Interactive Investors for my WRES holding. Very easy to set up and use, as are all of theor services. Never even consider my bank (Lloyds) for share dealing.
.29p will stop me moaning....and masterman actually doing what he says he will when he says he will. We are miles behind where we should have been. Wrong kit ordered or delivered wrong, I'm advised by a BP geologist that the flooding issue should have been foreseen in a proper survey. So, when we get what we are promised and I'm back in the black I'll be happy.
A reasonable RNS, loads of buys and still the SP goes down! WTF!!!! Has Masterman's history of missed deadlines and false promises stained his reputation that much?
Sorry, you've bailed. I too have no faith in Masterman. If I sell today I lose £37k and if I cash in realize around £6k. I'm fortunate that I don't need £6k and if I did I have it elsewhere anyway. I feel so sorry for anyone who has had to cash in given the prolonged run-up and broken promises from the company. Believe me, I'm not staying in this because I trust or believe Masterman, purely in the ever-increasing vain hope that one day I may get my initial investment back.
Fortunately not hard up for the £6/7k I'd get for selling right now so I'll sit tight and wait. I still think masterman is a disaster, despite having just chucked another 25000 shares in my pot, as you say to reduce my ave and for no other reason.
Exact same as me. Only in this now because I'm so far under its not worth selling. Disgustingly poor management. Make me smile though when I see some of the rose tinted gang posting tin prices and tungsten prices on the up. It only matters if you have a viable current mine.. and we don't. Tin could be £100k a ton we ain't mining at any sort if capacity that would make a difference. Laughable if it wasn't so serious for so many long term pi's with big lumps of cash put in on the basis of the far too many false dawns and false promises. I fear the sun is setting on this pile of Spanish dirt. Mastermans contempt for pi's is astounding.
Jesus at 7.2p buy I never thought we'd get any lower. Bad news on the way?....or should I say more bad news on the way?
