Another bad start .. down another 20p in 3 days... Question is where will we be... IF.. China`s growth drops further from around 7% now to 5% and Oil drops to 20p in the next 12 months .. both being talked about and could well be a possibility... and resulting in a 10% to 20% wiped of global stock markets.. Supermarkets under enough pressure and now the Easyjet owner is starting a 50p shop .. talk of banks not lending as much to businesses as they cut back on costs.... and Europe turning into a pressure keg of issues and problems... even Apple has dropped 30% and Google has taken the top spot .. How things are changing.. and fast.... So much talked negativity at the moment ..we need a bottom and stability.. another 30p drop and it will be a 50% drop in the RBS SP price in a year.. 412p down to 206p Patience is now staring to get very thin ..and many are suffering growing loses.. to a point of it will be a long time getting back the high of 412p last year.. what a global difference a year makes.. surely we are not in for another year of the same.... that would be some hole to dig out of... Anyone got any good news... or thoughts..

USA CNBC channel saying stocks are getting slammed.. Even talk now of Global recession .. . If USA jobs figures are bad this week ... It could be a week to forget..

Agree with you ..on your post.. I don't see where the turnaround will be focused with Oil and China related issues seem to have a grip of some sort on the markets .. The migrant and growing debt issues may be with us for some time yet.. If Sainsburys takeover of Argos goes ahead and how many Argos stores move into Sainsburys stores .. Means the possibility of more empty shops and who knows if any EU vote result this year how it will affect the market, if a no vote. Reports of Greece wanting to debate their debt again....EU could be a long ongoing bigger problem in coming years.. And lastly are the markets being manipulated in any way.. Sadly we appear to be in a rut of many negatives affecting the markets .. As for RBS is has been a slow slide down the past 12 months of near 170p .. From 412p down to 240p.. One hell of a drop considering RBS is supposed to be getting back on its feet.. .. You would have thought banks are certainty to make money as that is what they deal with .. Money .. But is have been like a chip stall losing money selling chips.. But there you go .. That's life as they say ... Will the Olympics go ahead .. See what tomorrow bangs out to us ..

Without any good reason things just keep going south... Regarding banks.. One could think that this year could be a mega bad year and another 100p wiped off of RBS by the end of this year if the current trend continues... It would not be silly to think that globally things just are not getting better.. And as usual .. Uncertainty is KING.. Anyone got any thoughts as to where we are going.. .. Any views on sub 200p this year... Anyone going to church on Sunday to pray .. Options seem to be slipping away.. We need that global turnaround ....

With the current situation of the UK with a big housing problem that appears to be unable to improve. I would think a million new forms of accommodation be it houses or flats to ease the UK need for homes and reduce overcrowding. This said I would think it basic logic until our small island sorts this curent housing problem to a much better situation, It would be a reversal to sorting the housing problem if even more are allowed into the UK.. By all means give help and money to the flood of migrants from the ISIS conflict.. Allowing say 300,000 in the next 5 years they will obviously need housing and need jobs and will of course have children and in ten years 300,000 could expand to 1 million. My thoughts are that limits become a reason for logic .. Once limits get stretched and broken something or someone has to suffer .. If by 2035 the population increases by another 5 million that's about 250,000 per year .. What would be the future impact on our road traffic volumes, the already crowded rail travel and and we do not build enough to cope with now .. If this is the possible future .. Then it makes one think .. When you start to do the maths and go beyond sensible limits of basic logic, and with the basic infrastructure of what the UK currently has .. I believe the UK is the smallest of the EU countries which is not really beneficial to a population increase ... No doubt you all have your own thoughts of what problems increasing the population can create to the problems we already have now..

Over the past 40 years since joining the EU .. has the average UK person achieved that much financial gain.. Or Higher wages and bigger bank balances and spare cash.. .. Or has the reality been more debt and even high debts by much bigger mortgage loans .... As for the mass migration to Europe from the ISIS conflict, it is certainly causing another growing conflict in the EU with many new problems being created as a result ... People in general do not like big changes and lots of bad news.. So I would not be suprised if the EU vote is for out..

At least you B/E .. The question now is ... in May 2012 the SP dropped to around 20p.. ... 200p in today's valueation ..will it return to 200p.. Who knows... Something special has got to happen to rise 100p back to 350p...... Or hyper special to get back to the SP value of 412p around this time last year... Financials are certainly not in favour now, and haven't been for a long .. Long time.. Another question is ... Is the economy in the UK as good as they say ... Or the USA .. Or Globally .. If the stockmarket is any guide at all... Things are not looking very encouraging or inspiring... Let's hope for a turnaround sometime soon... Or it could be another bad year.. It has already been reported that RBS will report an annual loss this month... Has Anyone got any good news...

Thanks for you reply... seems there are many unknown issues regarding the basics of leaving the EU... The problem is that so many things are just that .. unknown... and constant changes give little help as there is little stability if things constantly keep changing and the costs involved is horrendous... With around 30% more imports than exports in the UK ...the possibility of the gap and/or costs increasing if we leave the EU appears a probability..

Question .. Does any of you have any idea if the UK does leave the EU .. And leave any current EU trade system benefit the UK is in.. Will the result or the likelihood mean imports from the EU will cost more than now....

Terry Wogan.. Passing away ... Sums a bad month for celebs dying of the Big C .. Now Terry Wogan is gone.. Terry was one that I had a big respect for and a likeable person.. A dare I say a legend compared to many people in the media... Thanks Terry for the laughs and banter over many years... It seems I have lost a friend that I never did meet .. Rest in Peace

Another uneventful day in prospect... Like watching the grass grow at times............ The CNBC Channel reporting that USA shopping malls have more empty units than last year... internet shopping mentioned as one cause .. same as the UK .... shopping habits constantly changing, and from travelling to the Malls to having things delivered is saving time and money for those growing internet using shoppers... Amazon making further moves into the UK home food deliveries market....which can only put more pressure onto the 5 main UK supermarkets in coming years Wonder if we will end up above 260p by the end of tomorrow... if not, at least stay above 250p.. The way the SP is moving...it is like ...The Chuck Berry song ... No Particular Place to Go.... Beautiful sunny mild day on the Norfolk coast... ... Have a good day all...

With the massive £1.2 Trillion of National Debt ... Coupled with reports of a dangerous high of mortgage and personal debt.. Seems another disaster could be coming over the horizon ... Financial Debt is full of stress .. And offen a killer trying to get out of debt.. RBS simular statement as last year .. More money for PPI and more issues to be sorted .. And taking action to improve the banks status ... .. Will next years statement be a repeat.. This time last year the SP was heading to 412p... It is anyone's guess when 400p will be reached again.. With all the current problems in the UK, Europe and global on so many daily media reported issues .. Most we have all debated many times... Is it me or are most of the action taken on these problems appear to be just like kicking the can down the road... It is like waiting for the unkown to happen... Things do not genrally seem to be getting for the majority. ATB..

Yes you are correct ... But the downturn in Oil and China and many issues resulting from the downturn will continue UNTILL a bottom is reached... A Global problem it seems that has to be played out .. How bad it gets and the obvious unknown changes that emerge from it all time will tell ... Over production of Oil now have reports of possible storage issues... Another issue mentioned growing global debt, being another problem coming.. Meanwhile we still have many home and euro issues to contend with.. And BBC breakfast saying there is a growing shortage of UK home supply of Electricity in the next 10 years of up to 40% as increasing demand and use. Question is ... Is year growing into one many will want to forget and regret...

Yes that is the problem the imbalance ... In fact there is another imbalance regarding the amount of well paid full time jobs and lack of affordable accommodation relating to the current size of the UK population ... Staying with parents and overcrowding in houses being probably more than is reported ... 6 or more people in a 3 bed house is not uncommon.. As I get older I realise life is not based or quantified by a mobile phone, facebook or the amount of Internet freinds ...that said technology has improved many things ... Including hundreds of APPs which many download and soon delete .. As they say.. what you want and what you need is totally different.... Let's see how the issue of free movement in the Eurozone will develop this year.. Will it be as free at the end of this year as it is now... Iwith another million boating accross to the Eurozone the pressure will rack up even higher...feeding 1 million must be very costly without another million to deal with this year and how many more on the way.. Just think at the start of this new millennium 15 years ago .. things were so much better... Then came 2001 and the twin towers attacked and terrorism is now a part of our lives to deal with... And not forgetting a financial crash in 2007 which has now changed things to so many in different ways.. .. And then a mass movement of a growing unkown amoung of people .. What a poor start to this millennium .. Dogged with so many nasty issues on lifestyles and humanity.. Meanwhile lets hope for a continuing improvement on the markets this coming week.. GLA
