Our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with QuotedData's Edward Marten has just been released. Listen here.
mattja - I sincerely hope you are right.
Just for a wee bit of balance (and not as a deramp) I don't know of ANY exploration project BH has been involved with over the past 30 years that hasn't ended up being mothballed or a "duffer".
I get the distinct impression there's more chance of me winning the Lotto jackpot than there is of Bill ever "not asking enough".
For me, there has ALWAYS been an ultra bullish case put forward by Bill in the ARs on geological & economic grounds (with probable exception of period 2012-2015) since I first invested way back 16 years ago. But that doesn't cut the mustard when sitting on a massive paper loss. Even a realistic sale of the Company I would struggle to see me break even. And I've averaged down more times over the past 16 years than I care to recall.
AM90 - being realistic I doubt we'd attract a dynamic & experienced CEO until there was considerably more cash reserves. Yes, a lithium sale probably would provide that. But all in all the process would be at least 6 months before a new CEO was recruited and able to show results. And even then I suspect Bill would insist in retaining some role or other.
But unfortunately I do agree with you that an outright sale now looks like being between 0-5%. Which speaks volumes to me how the Company has been run over the past 20 years since when it traded on TSX.
You don't necessarily need to wait on the outcome of a lengthy/delayed strategic review to have a coherent corporate plan.
Not after 16 years of trading on AIM anyway.
Given Xmas/festive period it seems reasonable if there's to be any material update on the SR it'd be within the next 4 weeks. I'm not holding my breath.
I just hope & pray BH doesn't make the same f*** up of LND as he did with PGD.
No ma1 - I haven't. But there again I've never bothered to research that point. To me it's kind of irrelevant as I suspect it would be very difficult to compare apples with apples to make it meaningful research.
What I do know is this once traded at over £4 (pre cons) and now trades at 13p having spent over £65m in the process (excluding any expenditure during the years when trading on TSX).
Maybe it might be a useful exercise for the House Broker to re-assess there valuation(s) in line with yours?

Any Company is only worth what anyone is prepared to pay for it.
The asset value is only one component of that.
Think what BH is trying to sell is the reasonable/ likely potential of LND being a 3-5m oz gold resource forgetting about nickel/lithium/iron ore. Which is considerably is excess of the equivalent of a 40-60p share price.
Just my opinion - if they do sell at 40-60p range it would be yet another massive failure of BH's. Though not as bad as the *uck-up he made elsewhere at PGD.
AM90 - it's a reasonable question you ask "what IS the plan?".
It's a worry that nobody posting on here seems to know for sure. Lots of guesswork variations from one extreme to another.
Compare that to an AIM listed company that I follow who published a RNS this morning about the key outputs from their own strategy review. It was detailed yet concise leaving absolutely anyone/everyone in no doubt what the implementation of that SR hoped to achieve and how it was planned to do so. It was frank with both positive & negative & associated risks involved. Fairly specific timescales + running costs etc etc. No stone left unturned. Shareholders treated like the owners of the Company. Not like the Private Co Landore has always operated like.
Personally I still find it staggering that £60m+ has been spent here over 16+ years. Had BH & GF been on the BOD of any FTSE company they surely would have been sacked many moons ago?
Maybe BH plans to do another share consolidation? That usually works wonders for the share price performance - doesn't it??
Haven't even bothered to update their Twitter feed of the recent deal done. Couldn't have been worthwhile telling the wider world then?
Pretty poor show. Yet again.

I've no idea what the actual amount for professional fees & expenses for solicitors/brokers/accountants/advisors etc would be. But it won't be cheap. I didn't mention £300k by the way. Just that the net amount leaves just over £1m in the kitty . Even if it was £1.2m it still doesn't leave a great deal IF there's to be any planned drilling prog organised in late 2022 for drilling in early 2023. And that was the only point I was trying to make. I doesn't matter a t*ss if they deal in dollars in North America.
2 million Canadian dollars gross after conversion to sterling (1.3m) & then minus fees & expenses leaves just over 1m in the kitty. Not a fantastic amount of money if more funding is needed down the track in late 2022 to organise any possible drilling campaign. No deramp intended. Just saying.
Not sure if there is any significance why they RNS in middle of afternoon on a Friday and mid morning albeit on an other matter on the Monday mid morning. Whatever happened to professional 7am RNSs??
I notice you make no reply on Ron's "Bill has destroyed the SP".
Maybe that was too emotional a comment of his for you ? But for me it's based more on fact with LND's share price performance going from just over £4 compared to today's sell price of 17p.
I suspect absolutely everyone but everyone has bought in here believing there was in theory enormous potential. That has never changed. I suspect that's why Sprott's organisation decided to become our largest shareholder replacing Huddlestone who invested heavily & held for best part of 2 decades before dumping recently. (He must have been bonkers to have held for so long eh?).
Let's hope that potential finally gets realised. Nobody wants that to happen more than me.
Just a note of caution - it was always a regular type statement in LND's ARs over the years but can I just quote one - in 2007 "The Company is actively seeking joint venture partners for all these projects." 15 years down the track not a lot has happened on that front. But here's hoping after Sept that all changes and there's yet another "game changer" to get excited about in this long running saga.
Oh that brings back memories........ Featherby being appointed as Non Exec by Humphries at PGD many moons ago and the BBs going into overdrive at the time that he was only appointed for his M&A experience in the sector....... and a deal was almost certainly on the cards.
If only.
AM90
BH (he who walks on water to the faithful) has held for decades........ is he bonkers then????
"More bonkers than holding for a decade plus.......".
Classic.
Posters on here only hear what they want to hear.
