The ratio between junior and senior gold miners just poked its head out of a nearly 15-year resistance.

For some reason when a stock goes on sale, people begin to panic. Most of the negative posters know exactly what they are doing by trying to play phycological games and playing on peoples emotions.
I try and look at it in a way, that I've walked into a sale shop with seriously good bargains to be had.
Totally understandable Speedy. Its not for everyone. Hopefully we'll see some positive price action from GGP soon.
Hi Speedy, 100% agree with you regarding Bitcoins price volatility. It's scary and not for the faint hearted. I believe Bitcoin is in price discovery. Its past volatility was likely due to the uncertainty of what the asset actually is and the regulations surrounding it. Early this year the Bitcoin ETF's were given the all clear from the SEC (Securities Exchange Commission), I understand Bitcoin ETN's are also being approved later this year in the UK, but for professional investors only. The GBTC outflow stems from the SEC decision. I love physical gold, and hope we all do well here with GGP. Bitcoin just seems like it could play a useful role in the ever increasing digital world we find ourselves in.
The sell off in Bitcoin is due to outflows in GBTC and people getting carried out due to over leveraged bets. Inflows going into the Bitcoin ETF's are huge from the likes of Blackrock and Fidelity. Both Gold and Bitcoin are probably great assets to own as currency debasement will no doubt continue. Rick Rule mentioned on a podcast recently that the asset size of both Bitcoin and gold are miniscule compared to the overall assets owned and didn't think one asset would take market share from the other.

Also, factor in recession fears and with with the way interest rates are behaving we could see a credit event along with an overall market slow down.. Things may be turbulent in the the next few months.
Thought I'd have a glimpse in here today to see if there was any constructive discussion but the chat board seems to be taken over by day traders.
They say 35% of "current" capital budget. Does that mean 35% of the cash remaining or total capital budget from the start of the project?
The investment case is that we may be on the verge of a commodities super cycle. There has been years of under investment in the commodities sector. Net zero policy will require materials..
Interesting developments, if reports are true...

Very chaotic in here today. Blatantly obvious whats happening here. They want your shares!!
When it comes to money, it really does bring out the worst in some people...
I have experienced similar drops in other mining companies I have invested in, so in the current environment we're in it does seem some what normal albeit uncomfortable.
Gold has performed very well when measuring it against other currencies, it's remained stagnant in USD because of dollar strength.
High interest rates cannot be sustained for any length of time before something breaks, but I think you probably know that already BiggL. We are in a new world!
The following chart coincides nicely with today's price action.

Once in a generation opportunity here. Too many things going on in the world that support a higher gold price in the years to come.
Patience is key!!

@Davielad, I think the pressure of whats taking place in the wider market is getting people frustrated. Lots going on in the market at the moment, the new variant and the market possibly pricing in rate hikes from the FED in response to rising inflation, the rate hikes also bring possibilities of a slowing economy. Like I said, lots going on in the wider market at the moment.
