RE: Gold and it's relationship with USD7 Sep 2020 14:59
Re interest rates. It is hard to see how in the present environment Governments can raise interest rates as that would mean they have to borrow at higher rates no? And the Fed have uttered low rates for possibly 5 years. Normal economic measures are no longer an option and it is hard to see what is with more printing due? UK want to raise taxes silly buggers as this will lengthen the depression? Any answers anyone?

I am in GDP,SHG, SOLG,POG,FRES and AAZ. Gold seems to have found a bottom round 1900 which will do fine for now. As long as it remains 1900+ I will add on any serious dips.
I am afraid I have been doing so much reading and research that I cannot recall where I read the FRESNILLO was on of only 2 large miners who have managed to increase their metal reserves over the past 10 years or so. Silver is likely to head north by 2021 and so things look good longterm even allowing for recent problems. Can see dividend increasing next year?

Good stuff boobear. The situation is not sustainable and cannot be pushed down the road (election) much longer. Depression first and collapse of stock market and then maybe some hyperinflation who can say exactly. US due a ****storm and the US dollar will suffer further and the POG rise still further. I would not wish this situation on anyone as it will cause real misery but the situation is not reversible. Of course this cataclysmic event will effect us all but holding Gold/Miners will soften the blow for those wise enough to see what is coming?
It will depend on the future POG - I think a number of Junior Miners will get gobbled up if the POG goes to 2500$. Just my opinion as many are still well undervalued looking ahead.
that we are a sitting duck for a lowish (initially) takeover. With the POG set fair for some years we are a bargain at present. Watch this space and hopefully more than one interested party. Takeovers will be rampant in the current and future climate in smaller miners?
Well the truth is that Goldplat is so small no one has even heard of it. One day if POG continues upwards and the bottom line continues to rise accordingly the penny will finally drop? Patience is really needed.

I am faraid that mnipulating the silver market is relatively easy - it is so small compared to Gold? But it is on a bull run so who knows where it will all end? 150$ according to some.
