Haha I wish, she's still a little too young yet. I can't wait to introduce her to the big screen though when the time comes and trust me it will be a Cineworld screen.
It's that 96.30 again, everytime we push past it something or someone drags it back down. When will they realise they are trying to turn the tide with this one and just let it go.
Looks like the box office is definately back, June is looking strong with an even stronger line up in the subsequent months. This is the kind of support and showing we didn't have before from the studios. There's no going back now.

Good luck to him is all I can say, if Biden and the US government can get 70% of the US vaccinated before July 4th that would be a great achievement and be incredible for Regal.

It shouldn't have needed to be said but perhaps It did. Well said Bonkers and lets hope it puts an end to a lot of outlandish speculation and comparisons. I've been guilty of it in the past (getting excited about ideas of take overs), it can be fun to imagine your stock going through the roof. It's on par with dreaming about what you would do if you won the lottery and while fun it can unfortunately end up not being very useful and can often muddy the waters. Cineworld is doing good in its own way and its own time and I have no doubt will surprise us all.
Based on what? There has never been any resistance at this price, did you pluck that one out of your money making hole?
Just the usual games all the time, at some point somethings got to give.
Haha I mean reddit
Lets be honest, shorters who have preyed on companies during a global pandemic deserve to be squeezed. Thats the justified anger that retail investors have used to fuel the rebbit movement in the US where as we in the UK seem willing to take it.
Thats a rince and repeat article that was posted a month ago. They just updated the start of it to talk about AMC but I remember we all mocked his prediction which is exactly the same because he effectively says "The share price will go down but if it doesnt ignore what I said". Some of these articles are just glorified click bait.
Wouldn't that raise many conflicts of interest? By that I mean many of Regal/Cineworlds Cinemas are competing in the same markets as AMC/Odeon. I personally can't see it and think they would more likely just pick up individual sites.
I wouldn't say borrowing £200 only to pay it back a month later for a few percentage gain is big money moves but then again money is all relative and £200 might be big bucks to you.
How can you be making big money moves on £200 of credit?
Its just luck of the draw, AMC is a meme stock now and gets governed by a completely different set of rules. It would be silly to get frustrated by their success because if need be we all have the opportunity to sell here and buy there. Thing is though, just like crypto and gamestop because fundamentals are out of the window its all like a house of cards. The volatility and the risk ends up being much higher in these things.
It's always worth remembering as well that while there are restrictions in place Cineworld have talked about spreading the popular, money making films across multiple screens so there are more seats available for those who want them. It would be at the sacrifice of smaller films during those peak times but its good to see them be agile in their thinking and have some kind of solution to deal with restrictions.
The positive thing is that any movements on such low volume normally aren't that stable and don't often last. It's pathetic that the MM's couldn't even drum up (or don't want to) more than 6 million shares today. We are always get manipulated down on low volume and its the first thing to correct on a good day. Keep an eye out for shorts trying to close or institutions looking to buy.
Unfortunately it looks as if we are seeing low volume today, likely due to the uncertainty of if and when the next set of restrictions will be lifted. As predicted on low volume we are pretty much remaining flat. The vaccines are doing well and every day we get closer to normality but while the media keep filling the void by printing the flip flopping views of advisers, ministers or experts that uncertainty will keep people away from leisure stocks until they know more for certain things won't go backward.
One solid bit of evidence to definitively state that the vaccines are winning against the variant or an announcement from Boris confirming that the the roadmap is being stuck to or even if its being delayed by a couple weeks. The removal of the uncertainty will likely get this share price moving in the right direction imo.
Robert Dingwall, professor of sociology at Nottingham Trent University, said there is "no realistic prospect" of the NHS facing the same pressures that it faced in January and February, when the highest seven-day average was just under 60,000 cases per day.
Professor Dingwall told Times Radio that "critics" who have suggested that the June 21 easing should be delayed "can't even agree on what delay they'd like".
He said: "By the time we get to June 21, everybody who is in the nine priority groups or the highest risk will have had both jabs, and would have had a period of time to consolidate the immunity.
"What are we going on with is really running into younger age groups who are intrinsically much lower risk. Many of the scientists who've been talking over the weekend simply haven't adjusted their expectations to understand that - (for these people) Covid is a mild illness in the community."
He added: "There is no realistic prospect of the NHS facing the sorts of pressures that it faced in January and February. And that's why I think we have to we have to push on with this."

You may be right in your intention FI but was there really any need for an "I told you so?" post this morning lol
Sometimes people do get carried away here and if you want to make it your mission to add a dose of reality then thats all to the good but rubbing salt in wounds doesn't do your ideals any justice.
FunInvestor, try not to let it get under your skin. You're better than that.
