Big Al. Disruption in South America, Covid and strikes has slowed output from the world’s largest copper suppliers. Coupled with China being a net importer and stockpiling against possible future supply issues due to the deteriorating ties with "the west", has force global copper warehouse stocks levels into a sharp decline, pushing the price higher. SML have been unable to capitalise on this as seen by the stagnant sp and by the time we do, the price may be anywhere. Copper is a volatile commodity and levels can rise fast and fall just as fast based on demand and global events. SML should be in a position to take advantage now. Due to our leadership, we are not.
As for the MSM. We can't believe a thing that comes out of any of the MSM. They are now all so totally biased while upholding the pretence of being impartial, that I am surprised that the new hacking scandal is taking so much headline when the biggest travesty is the Political bias in the media. Misinformation and divisive disruption spread by the MSM which is presented as factual news, which people with no other information input readily accept. They carry much of the blame for public dissent and unrest. Is this just click bait for advertising income or is there a state actor behind this? I would be holding an investigation into the reason why the MSM no longer reports News, it creates it for a reason (which requires investigation) that is undermining democracy and pandering to the various parties all appear to wish harm to democracy.

Marshal. The plans to finance LCCM should already be in place, dependant on the PEPR which the BoD are confident will approved before 2021 (So around 5 1/2 working days). If they are not we are screwed (again).

Not the best analogy. Lightning strikes are random although predictive in a general area. Mining strikes are based on data (geological, historical, local and scientific). You are many more times likely to find the minerals you are looking for, in the quantities you are looking for. So have a merrier Xmas knowing that we are looking in the right pace and if we hit the mother lode you will get your double strike. Better odds than the lottery or nature.

you will see that it can reverse very quickly. The stock levels a cycle and the price adjusts until the trend is reversed by output being increased or decreased.
We need to be producing now as this current trend will be covered by an upturn in output while the sector takes advantage of the higher pricing.

Learner, as most can tell I am just a cynical old man no. Nothing better to do than dig a little deeper each day. There is money out there that seems to trust AB and PW if you look at what is being thrown at Mustang. No one would throw that sort of money at an empty shell, without some sort of insight would they? It is a shame that AB and PW went off and focused on yet another venture rather than giving those who paid them here a bit more of their time.The more I find out the more cynical I get. There is money to be made but jumping ship when the money is made seems to be the best way to stay ahead of this team.

Also my comments making money while there is money to be made while the price is high, is more important than buying an asset that may make you money in a few years. As it gives you the finances to then plan and pursue future projects. At oil peak we were "punching holes" in the high value assets to fill the bank. The focus on harder, smaller and deeper wells took a back seat. To be financed when the money slowed down.

You have to take my opinions with a pinch of salt, my expertise was in Oil and Gas Management not mining. Although I apply the same principles that I used during my career. Being ahead of the game is vital. If you are playing catch up, one or more of your competitors is ahead of you. Which is why I like to think that a partner or funding is already agreed dependent on PEPR bar the signature, as that is what I would have pursued.

A spike to 2p or just over on receipt of the PEPR if a JV or funding has already been arranged and is simply dependent on the PEPR. In which case both announcements should come close together. But a drop back to a new base of 1.5 to 1.8p until we move forward with anything other than Paltridge North. If there is no funding or partnership I can see us spiking lower then drifting back as we will be unable to produce. I can see the Market accepting an mcap of around £30m for SML with income from both LCCM PN and Cobre. I unfortunately can't see anything more than that.

You would like to think so, if we were producing now as we should have been for two years and as our website says we are "A profitable producing mineral company".
Unfortunately the demand for copper is now and producing sites or those with the relevant paperwork to proceed are the most likely targets. We on the other hand are applying for a PEPR to produce a relatively small amount. The money is chasing the vast profits to be made now. We are looking for a relatively small income to then develop much later. I agree that what we have planned is more viable due to the increase in price, but what we have planned was for internal use. The ship is sailing and we haven't even finished packing or booked a taxi. We should already have a partner or funding lined up ready to sign dependent on the PEPR and the ducks should already be lined up waiting for the bread.

Everything as always is opinion Sammy. Mine differs from yours due to dampened enthusiasm at very obvious self interests rather than "shareholder value".
Once (if) we start commercially viable production (sometime in 2021) at Paltridge North (dependent on PEPR and finance). Will will either have accrued loan interest or be sharing the financial returns with a JV partner. We then need to complete and file (more money) PEPR applications for the remaining deposits. We are looking IMO at least 18 months away for that. We will then need to use any returns from Paltridge North to set up and mine those "PEPR approved" deposits. The time frames here are not in weeks and months, but months and years. Copper prices may stay favorable to us, they may not (look back over the past 18 months). We need to identify massive reserves to get massive gains. There is little room for speculation here as we have identified our projects. The speculation is if we can prove a second income and not what excites the market, finding a massive mineral reserve. I did say I believe that the PEPR and finance will push us to mid to high 1p region, possibly spiking before falling back to that marker. That is no longer the massive multibag that prospecting brings on a good find. It is still a good return but not what many here joined up for when we were "A profitable producing mineral company actively developing projects prospective for battery materials".

LCCM looks like at best it will recycle itself and keep the lights on. Redmoor is the "juggernaut", but only if we can fund it on our terms. Revisit PW's last interview. Lots of positive "buzz words", spoken with the enthusiasm of a person waiting at the dentist for a root canal. I like what he says, but we have heard a lot of it before. One of the main points, is the BoD's insistence to blame the market for undervaluing SML. I would have thought that any blame for SML being undervalued, lay with those in charge of SML. The failure to accept culpability appears to be an ongoing thing here.

As I would assume that the BoD are in contact with the above. I would expect either the PEPR before year end, as the BoD are confident will happen. Or, that we get an update shortly explaining the hold up.

I have a few but will be out very soon. colline's post reminded me to look further back in time. I did and I am not comfortable with more coincidences. There is money to be made, but we appear to be the money to be made.

I would like to think, given the excessive time frame, that funding/JV is simply dependent on the PEPR. All of the information will have been presented to potential suitors. The BoD is confident we will see the approved PEPR before year end.

Did you see the NAE release today increasing the potential? Is that part of the coincidence?

They say history repeats itself, but IMO I am sure it is all just coincidence. (I saw a comment here earlier about an NAE asset and an news release today about said asset increasing its potential?):
