After recent rebound from lows market may want a leg lower. Today US banks opening in red, most of the good news on tech result are out, some sell of at opening, will be interesting to see tomorrow if the market push higher or lower, pivotal point....
Have to say if you ask me if I would hold long term LLOY or AMD or Alphabet you know the answer, may target LLOY at 60p and to hold the stock for a 15% gain from here, with all the head wind around ...hmmmmmm
Lets see tomorrow and end of the week what the market mood is.

Then I read that inflation actually lower the cost of government borrowing because tax revenue increase more than bond repayments....and wonder is really the Fed going to be so aggressive on rate raise? Why?
Anyhow bough some NVIDIA, MICRON on Usa Market and Champion Iron ore, Algoma Steel on Canadian Market, and ready to average down. Also holding Mincor, Blackstone Minerals and a dog called Pure Energy Metal.

I am looking at Amazon today after a recent sp drop still valued at PE of 56.....Nasdaq average PE before recent correction at 39. now possibly at 33/32.
Will be interesting to see Microsoft sp reaction after market close results....
Then tomorrow Fed will confirm rate rise, I was reading that if the Fed will signal an even earlier rate rise as from tomorrow, or end to bond purchase, the market may see this a positive, because would think that the Fed with these drastic measures will show that it has things under control on the inflation front. Kind of counter intuitive market reaction.....Anything is possible in these times but possibly the best tactic for an investor is sit and wait....lots of head winds right now and until a decent valuation in not priced in in the Nasdaq, i will be very careful to buy in again.

And about the Americans I was just watching yesterday on RAI3 the CIA secret service involvement in Italian terrorist attacks in Bologna and others, where hundred of people lost their lives in the 80s. Mafia, Loggia P2 and other, Italian extreme right wings and US secret service, all conspiring against government which back then was trying to create a bipartisan agreement with the communist party, in trying to run the country. They killed hundred of innocent citizens to destabilize the Country and put in power their men, things that they have been doing for decades all around the world. Putin is a Saint.

Indeed the added dilemma here is that even when after the drop US indexes will reach good support/valuation, there will be still the risk of a war on Europe door steps....which iom in not priced in yet.

indeed, the conundrum is with dollar strengthening gold price should find some head wind, but is not always like that...
So far the metal is holding well...better than the gold miners sp, could be a conservative opportunity. Energy is so manipulated that is everyone guess where its going...

...meanwhile I see US banks stocks with imminent Fed rate rise, not responding as they should, same for energy stocks with oil and gas prices very high.......this is called panic.

What is happening atm is US market opening sharply lower for then been bought up by short term trader, and then follow lower...hence the rise is not sustained. Very understandable ahs imo everyone is awaiting Wednesday and the Fed, add to that the Russian situation and one could be forgiven if stays in cash for now.
On the Russian I too think they won't invade, In my twisted mind I am of the opinion that the Russians are creating tensions to find a good excuse to keep energy prices up....and why not that is one of the biggest source of income they got left.
Possibly the USA is playing ball because they are also net exporter of gas, hence come to the rescue of freezing Europeans and in the process make a nice profit. Just conspiracies theories...

Anyone willing to talk about where/when it will stop?
No doubt we are in a correction, bear market or whatever you like to call it...I am talking about the US market as reference point because imo is more relevant than the UK.
What everyone like to know is when we will reach the bottom, to buy back in or average down or up....
Although US futures were in the green they have just turned red as I write and possibly the Nasdaq will follow..
Wednesday Fed rate decision is the key here in my opinion and till then the market will be under pressure....
Is after the Fed announcement that it will get interesting......will the market bounce back up or will it go even lower?
The market is definitely pricing in the rate rise apparently 3 this year and I read that on Wednesday the Fed may announce bringing this forward (which will be new info..hence have an effect on markets). But among these variables we have to consider also how much the market has corrected by then (Wednesday) .
