I'm with HL and did the same, because I normally sell and have funds instantly available to buy within the share and fund account I expected it to be able to transfer straight over to the isa. This is not the case, it takes two days to clear before you can transfer the money to rebuy the shares within the ISA.

So you can open the ISA with an extra 20k if you have it and do it that way (I didn't have the spare funds to do so(
Or as someone said ring your broker and get them to sort it for you
It was a hairy 2 days waiting for me. Syme went up luckily my other smaller holding went down so it mostly evened out.

Forgive me asking here but I cannot find an answer and I know lots on this board are clued up on tax.

I know if you sell at a loss you can count that against gains as long as you do not rebuy the same sold stock within 30 days.
So my question is does this work the other way around?

Reason I ask is because I had to sell this and another stock to transfer to an ISA, I made profit on the other stock and wonder if I can a discount this as I was only moving it over to isa.

I know my Capital gains allowances and I'm around that figure. So it would be great if i didn't have to count what I sold to buy back within my isa, it took two days to transfer over.

Any advice is appreciated .

I emailed them about this exact this but haven't had a reply, I was hoping that was due to them planning on dropping a big RNS with results on us.

Will email again tomorrow if still not heard back.
Perhaps a few of you could too. If many ask the same question maybe they will answer.

Got to remember they send film crews all over and then pick several segments to put together.
It might be they wait until we have results in because that makes a good news story a super good news story.

I've sent an email asking this question as personally was under the impression the drilling throughout September would be sent off but the extended drilling program through first half of october threw that into doubt.

If I get a response I will be sure to pass it on.

Thing with Greenland is we have our foot in the door, will hopefully prove ourselves (cant see us not )and build a solid relationship with the mining authorities.
ALBA have a great team and will no doubt be looking for further projects as we start turning profits and Greenland is the last great undiscovered country as far as mining goes, every year more land and less ice, land that contains almost every rare mineral and metal on earth.
From uranium to gold to rubies the size of golf balls.
Couldn't really get much better.
I see the gold mine as a stepping stone to much greater things.
