Cordeiro making points public today regarding support for lithium
“…In addition, “we had already published the working group for the creation of a center for innovation and valorization of lithium in Boticas”, a municipality that “has strategic projects” in this area. A change was also planned in the “creation of conditions to strengthen the royalties of the territories and create better conditions for the development of lithium in Portugal,” he said.
Later, Duarte Cordeiro said that "for the sake of the future of our country and any government that succeeds us, it is important - especially today, that it serves us all as a lesson - the public distinction between the moment of investigation and the conclusions" that many want to "precipitatedly take".
"The country has laws that regulate environmental impact assessment, entities that are responsible for environmental impact assessments, has registered environmental impact assessment processes and it is important to give credibility and value this," defended the minister.
A little nod to MDB without name dropping.. I was hoping for a little more media given the attention this project deserves ..
‘The fastest-growing segment of the lithium industry is the mining of hard rock rather than brine, largely because it is far easier to blast and dig up stone than to wait patiently for millions of cubic litres of liquid to evapo-rate. Earlier this month Portugal gave the green light for what will be one of Europe's biggest lithium mines, which aims to produce enough of the stuff for 500,000 electric cars a year.’
A nervous few weeks as the reality of the deadline approached.. amazing news today .. one that derisks and totally changes the narrative of this unloved share… no way can this be undervalued as the days and weeks pass .. a great day for all involved!
Finncap-
"A conservative US$1,300/t price values Barroso at over US$950m (NPV5), equivalent to 55p. It would produce US$1.5b in free cash and US$400m in corporate tax."

"if the long-term price received by Savannah was only 50% higher than the price used in our DCF model at $1,500/t then our project NPV10 would nearly double to $858m. "
… - cash in the bank - no raise anytime soon
- lithium prices nearly 10x from scoping study
- strong green credentials
- govt support for this project vs other lithium plays in Portugal
- mining team with strong background in the field
So if we take the pricing guide in daily mail article (which is very conservative still!!)…

Ten bagger from current levels. Should share price double or treble in near term. Still cheap! Gla
They’ve achieved good bang for buck in terms of drilling to current resource. They have estimates of 50+mt. Drilling currently not happening. They’ve got cash as they had a big raise + £9 mil or so from non focus asset as of a month or 2 back
Great bit of media here. Well done team sav. Interest is going through the roof tomorrow once people see how undervalued this share is!! 120mil profits a year sounds lovely @ prices much lower than current. Gonna be a fun week!
Feels like things are moving quickly post election..
