Ten million traded in dublin today, looks like o'reilly sales continuing, but somebody is certainly taking up the slack. Price holding steady or up a little.

A rights issue would have to be pitched around 100 on present indications. Not a pleasant prospect. I was in and out several times around 170-180, finally got nervous and stayed out. Glad now, naturally, but it's a pity, still a good company. I read your comments with interest, you are always well informed.

Another 2 million traded in Dublin this morning, settling around 14.3/14.5.

Fact is, Tony O'Reilly sold 9 million shares last week (see Friday's RNS). On Monday morning he still held a further 69 million. Is he going to sell the lot? I don't know, do you? If he sells even half, that's 35 million. Can the market absorb that many, even at a lower price, given that DOB can't buy more at present? DD could absorb them, sure, but does he want to?

Google suggests that Indexia Holdings is registered in Nicosia. It appears to be associated with Sir Anthony O'Reilly. Maybe there is a cash call coming at Providence? 9 million shares would yield something like Stg. £1.5 million, not a lot in that context. Still, it might help. However, the odd thing is that the sale seems to have been designed specifically to bring Indexia's holding here under 5%. What would be the point of that, I wonder?

So: Indexia Holdings, Pershings Nominees and Goodbodys Nominees have between them sold some 9 million shares, so that they now hold 69 million (just under 5%). They chose 5.30 on Friday to let us know. Anyone know what this is all about, or why these people want to stay under 5%? or who they may be?

I would feel more optinism if I thought any upside to IPN would go to benefit INM, and would not be siphoned off.

As I understand it, fossil's problem is that he does not hold shares. He has a contracts-for-difference (c.f.d.) position. This is basically a bet on the share price. No share price, no bet. He has no underlying asset, though I suppose he might be entitled to get his stake back. Dodgy area.

Special for Dermot, he got most of his stake at 7 cents. Not hard to make a profit after that. Whether the rest of us will do as well, remains to be seen. Nothing new in Phoenix, but they will keep after it. Meanwhile D. O'Brien is buying everything that moves, hospitals, petrol stations, you name it. He must think economic prospects are good here, hope he's right.

Wishing won't make it so, unfortunately. They need to show that circulation has stabilised and they can generate a profit. I have to say the papers are not very inspiring these days, very tabloidish approach, suspect staff cuts are having an effect.

Current market cap is £21m. If they are planning to relist at something like $200m, that implies that we will be diluted by a factor of eight - at least - by the time we can trade the shares again. There should be some organic growth, but 800% - in a year - seems very unlikely. Of course it will be a much bigger pot, all being well.

Presumably this bulletin board will close once the company delists. Can anyone suggest another forum, where Matra's captive investors can exchange any news which comes to hand? My pension fund has 1.5m of these, and I cannot afford to wave them goodbye. Now where's that Jeremy Archer book?
