SOTRR, clearly the Mokopane license should have been issued before now. However, the SA government is currently appealing a court decision which says evidence of community consent must be obtained before license issue (see earlier posts, circa December). I don't suppose the SA legal system is much quicker than ours, and I doubt if all the string pulling in the world will make much difference.
What might help, in due course, would be a workforce profit-sharing scheme actually in operation. It might also help if a senior Vametco officer were designated Head of Community

Stocks on AIM don't sit still. If not rising, it is in their nature to drift down.
As I posted some days ago, this will continue to drift until
a) vanadium prices move up significantly, or
b) other significant news is released.
That may seem simplistic, but it's correct in my view. As I think the vanadium upturn may be delayed, we are waiting for other news.

Presumably Chinese steel makers are not all thick. If they see Vanadium at a bargain price for the last 6 weeks or so, it is surely likely that many of them will have stocked up at these bargain prices. Hence it may take a while for price pressures to reassert themselves. How long, is anybody's guess.

In the short term, share price is unlikely to advance until
a) vanadium price takes off again, hopefully after Chinese new year
b) other significant news

The SA Government is appealing a high court decision requiring evidence of 'full and informed consent' by a local community prior to issue of a mining license in a particular case. See Irish Times 31.12.18, report by Bill Corcoran, which quotes Minister Gwede Mantashe as saying there would be 'no mining in SA in the future' if the judgement stands. It is a particular case, involving ancestral lands, but the judgement apparently is couched in more general terms.
Clearly the Mokopane license will not be issued until this matter is concluded, likely to be 6 months or more.

They will be in the High Court shortly, facing contempt charges over a report which a competent sub-editor would have sanitised in a few moments. Penalties could be very large.
I repeat, sub-editors (or whatever you like to call them) are there for a reason.
As for the pension deficit, they could pay it off from cash at bank, if they chose. Which they won't.

1. Confirmation that Eskom battery project has been fully approved and commissioned, impurities sorted etc.
2. Confirmation that profit sharing plan has been agreed with the workforce at Vametco.

This company is undoubtedly going places, though it may take a while. The Chief Executive Dr Sandler is the research scientist who discovered pluripotent stem cells. Potentially a Nobel grade discovery. Several other top scientists on board in USA.

Another 35 redundancies under discussion.
Hard to see how there can be that much spare manpower, in what seems to be already a tight operation.
The danger of course is further lawsuits. Sub-editors are there for a reason.
