Just to remind people, our current market capitalisation is just under £20 million.
To justify the kind of offers people are talking about, it would need to be maybe 5-10 times that, or more.

That's the problem.
Necessary confidentiality about negotiations should not preclude - and should not be allowed to preclude - the equally necessary activity to raise our profile and SP. Otherwise we end up with an inadequate offer. I suspect we have already been there.

The problem is that the ongoing share price is a limiting factor for any buyout. To get a decent buyout price, the pre-buyout SP has to be managed up to a much higher level. This is where management is key. Silence is certainly not the appropriate strategy.

Should be a trading update about 1 April.
Alas, nobody loves this share just now.

Seems to be abandoned in favour of a continuing application, whatever that means. Therefore not abandoned - ?

It's the same court ruling.
Some people think it doesn't apply. We'll see.

re. mokopane, apart from whatever other delaying factors there may be, there is an apparent legal problem, due to a SA court ruling (being appealed) that evidence of community consent may be required for new mining licenses (see earlier posts, circa December). Until this is resolved, hopefully soon, I don't think we are likely to see a Mokopane license. Civil servants are careful people, always easier to say wait and see.

That last post is definitely actionable at law.

I remember a morning in Rome some years ago when I stood opposite the Capitoline hill and watched the guests for a fashionable wedding walk from the registry office up to the church. The women were beautifully dressed as you would expect - but the men ! Silk from head to toe. Made me feel like a hick, which was fair enough I guess.
