The task for the company and its chairman is to promote the share price (and market cap) to a level where a realistic take-out price is achievable.
Unfortunately they do not seem to be able to achieve this, in spite of a flow of encouraging data from Sierra.

Most of the regular posters won't admit there are any. But you might consider the following:
1. The vanadium price may not improve significantly from current level this year. In that event, share price probably won 't improve either.
2. Eskom's financial problems may put a damper on battery developments.
3. The Mokopane delay may well continue.
4. You also have to consider South African political/economic instability.
IMO BMN remains a profitable company with good prospects, but the factors listed above may affect the upside for the time being.

Nobody is going to pay 250m. for a company currently valued at 16m. From that base, they would be doing very well to get 50m.
On a different theme, I wonder if the milestones payable in the event of a change of ownership of SRRA737, might be an obstacle to a sale by SRRA?

Looks to me like the share price here is discounting/expecting/indicating a placing around 50-55p. Otherwise there is really no explanation.

If anyone's interested, I have a very elderly relative (aged 100) with a nasty melanoma on her face. Operated successfully once, but the surgeon is not willing to try again. A few months ago she was prescribed a short course of pembro (i.e. keytruda). The effect is astonishing. The melanoma is still there, but no longer growing and seems to have gone into reverse.
So I'm not surprised the owners are playing hardball for fees on combination trials.

Sometimes people have to sell, for technical or financial reasons.
Sometimes people may feel the rise will not hold.
That's just a few reasons.

The share price is tied to the vanadium price. They have fallen in step, and they will rise in step, if and when. The market attaches no current value to Bushfield Energy. So let's hope the Largo man is right about the V market.

Until further results are released, this is surely guesswork. I have seen one estimate putting net cash at 40 million a
month or two ago. Personally I think it might be rather less, the various Bushfield Energy initiatives must have cost quite a lot. Until figures are published, we do not know, or I don't anyway.

All the recent posts seem to be in answer to a person whose contributions I have filtered, hence don't see them.

I cannot see them paying 40p. How long do they have to wait before they can bid lower? 3 months? Can the company last that long?
