learn to read dip****, no one said the loans do not have to be repaid however should wood ( and they won't) default the loan cpy have to go through a lengthy proceess to grab any assets, hence why they would work with wood...can you understand that basic principle?

Cardinal, It is a large investment however I have been lucky throughout 30 years within the O&G project scene ( Always on the client side though).

Wood have a good reputation as a decent EPC contractor, that said from experience AMEC were top notch.

A few on here keep banging on about debt however ALL major companies have a decent chunk of debt, you only have to look at Bp.

I have a number of contacts within Wood Aberdeen and they seem fairly confident a deal will happen, we will find out in the coming week(s) weather that will be before or after suspension.

Mumbo, It's an 80k investment that if (very unlikley) Wood doesn't survive will not have any material impact on my life, with that in mind I am comfortable and not stressed.

My suggestion is that as you are clearly not invested you should focus on stocks that you are invested in.

I won't panic, I have 200k+ shares and I am happy to wait for the end game, even if it takes 9 months

PJ, THe takeover board called me and I discussed my (our) concerns, The lady did ask me to inform everyone that people should go direct to the FCA and not the Take over board. That said she has passed on all of the info to the FCA
