Longfell, Nobody knows what there avarage is however you can be assured that they have a mixture all they way from 100p down to the current sub 24p. I would suggest an avarage around 35-40p but that's just a guess!

I agree with you Captain, For the likes of Blackrock they can take a 1.5mill hit and it has little to no impact, that said if all of the large holders were to hold out it would make a material difference.

Monkeyjack, I have a number of funds that are managed by a Forth Capital in Scotland..and a few properties in the UK that give me a half decent return as I bought the in the early 2000's..To be honest I haven't looked into Gilts and I actually don't mind leaving money in accounts that can be accessed instantly. I use the UK banks as Spanish back rates are pathetic .
