I understand Levelling Up Round 2 announcements to be made by end Jan, indeed Michael Gove is at Despatch Box on Monday at 2:30. The FSS contract hugely supports the levelling up agenda in Northern Ireland and with the 25th Anniversary of the Good Friday agreement not too far away I could well imagine a strong focus to have this contract announced well before then so that it can be cited as an example of NI moving forward. A govt that is working hard "night and day" to deliver for the people should not be content with a May contract signing. I sense a changed drumbeat in govt and see this contract as a way they could positively showcase govt working with industry in a competent professional way. Surely strawman contracts should already be there and actively being reviewed by contract teams/negotiators at this point.
