Hi Newuncle,
I don't think your understanding the process correctly.
THRU went into a "strategic review" effectively putting themselves up for sale or funding etc.
That opens the door for anyone to come & talk to them, they weren't already in talks with any party when they did it otherwise they would have had to have disclosed such facts & that 1st party would likely have been given a certain time to do due diligence & launch an offer or not, this is not the same thing at all.
Now one of the parties they are speaking to will undoubtedly be Pentland & you as an investor want to have more than one other party interested otherwise there is no competition to help drive the potential value of an offer up should one be made.
I've kept part of my holding, but I sold quite a lot of it yesterday afternoon when trading totally dried up, I made a mistake on the last run up of selling & buying back in far to quickly & ended up stuck in it otherwise I could have topped up or near doubled my holding at 1.1/1.2p so wasn't getting caught again. Especially until I know exactly where Janus stand holding wise.
My concern is that 4 big holders have all sold out at rock bottom prices, some unable to get out the door fast enough, even with the knowledge that Pentland are very likely to want a large say in THRU going forward. So if they'd just held on for a few more weeks they would get a much better exit price if that's what they wanted to do. Investors in those ii's should be pretty annoyed at there actions and not trying to get as much money back as they could have!
I do think this has potential but other than TheTradingShack very few are prepared to hold this stock for a day, nevermind a week or a month.
So you simply have to learn from your mistakes & try to do better the next time, now I could get it wrong this time & so be it, I've still got some, but if I'd sat & waited a bit the last time I'd have had well over 50% more stock ahead of yesterday's run up to profit from & yes the ones I sold I sold for a loss, but I made a good sum on the run up a couple of weeks ago so THRU isn't really due me anything.
