SP Before September2 Jul 2022 13:12
I have about 5% of my portfolio in Nanoco, which I feel is a lot for a single speculative stock. I've been holding myself back this week as the price has weakened.
If we assume that, other than a small number of large players, this is mostly help by PIs like us. So Nanoco isn't really being tracked by analysts or reported in the news that much.
It' pretty clear that Nanoco and legal partners feel they have a case and, if there's no settlement, are pressing to get to court, which will happen in September, with a decision and hopefully a number after a week, and then decision in a willfulness multiplier weeks/few months after that.
Do people think that:
a - There will be a lot more media coverage as the court case looms
b - There will be a lot more speculation through Aug and early Sept, a bit like when a minor oil stock goes into blackout mode while drilling an exploration well, and the share price will rise.
I find it difficult to imagine the SP staying where it is as Sept approaches.
With my core holding I'm expecting to hold until there's an outcome, but I'm wondering if I should risk trying to trade some over the next few weeks.
Obviously if there's a settlement or commercial order before then, we're all laughing anyway.
Any opinions welcome. (this is a great board BTW, really enjoy following comments/opinions).
