RE: Q4 2021 Lobbying report16 Jan 2022 06:27
The company has set its own timelines. For the most part the only things that can affect that are money, the courts, the GG and the practicalities around the PSA.
There is no correlation between expressing feelings in a message here and the (in)actions of the company. I doubt they would even finish the first para once they get the jist of the message. Having a rant directly at the company produces no results.
“I sent one email without reply and now I am well miffed” – well yes of course they should have replied to anyone who is a holder and contacts them, but if that’s all you have done then you haven’t done much. I must have sent close to 100 emails before I got my first reply. I didn’t get angry, I got creative.
I have found that the company will respond to two ‘practical’ things. Either give them something that is of immediate value, or something that is an immediate threat.
It might be stretching what I mean by value, but recently I have been communicating that there is value in addressing shareholders ahead of the 24th Jan, which marks 3 years since the last RNS-R. They can utilize RNS, the website (if that’s what it is), press statement and so on. I appreciated that the information flow might be linked to the various talks and court cases which run unrelated to the RNS date, but some form of messaging would be of value to shareholders at this time. I quoted back to them their own words regarding improving comms. I have had zero reply, so I don’t yet know if they see the value in this suggestion. I guess we will find out over the coming days. If they don’t respond, I will learn from it and think of something else to put to them.
I know some of it is in the body of the post by Mole, but what might be of value / threat is a point-by-point list detailing the complete lack of corporate governance, (AGM, accounts, share certs etc.) in relation to Articles, previous deadlines etc. If someone can pull that together, keep it focused and to the point so the facts do the talking then I am more than happy to send that message.
(Hi Monti – I wrote this before I saw your message. Agree with your points. I have suggested many times they send out a regular / semi-regular update, even if it is a version of what has already been circulated, at least it would be something. I will remind them again.)
