Circa €30Bn difference between the Market Value and the Book Asset Value..plenty of cash..economic/ regulatory moat in EU...???

Isnt it as simple as the old CEO led an emergining markets growth strategy. EM has tanked and $ strengthened. New ceo will lead a european strategy, brexit uncertainty includiing telecoms markets are regulated by EU institutions. Sentiment will take the share back to 180 but it will take a long time dueto the products based on maths

I think NR has options around 143.. Maybe this is the market telling him he has had an easy ride over 10 years at Vod accumulating shares and he is going to be poor if he doesnt explain a coherent strategy, confirm the div policy and, why Vod is going to be bigger and better under his leadership..

Agree, something smells. The regulatory process on Germany is the normal spat seeking a remedy when competition changes. Shooldnt cause this

Will be interesting to see how Vod holds up. Resilient around 150/151 for a while now. If interest rates in EU arent going up until last qtr 2019, 3 more divs from Vod should be attractive to income seekers?

Not a hobby, my main source of income (including other stocks) and learning from my wins and losses..

Its important to get as many views as possible, but in the final analysis, my decision to buy or sell Vod!

Could alot of scaremongering on this BB be driven by margin calls on short sellers?

Depends how they want QE to unwind in EU, I guess. Gentle debt equity glide path or a rapid 'Fed like' rise in interest rates to get it all out of the way quickly...crash and recovery
