This product range, particularly the "coming soon" are truly fantastic at a great price point IMO. Hopefully mega RNS season is upon us.
I'd have to agree with the design issue, I mean Superdry used to be very distinctive. You could just tell something was Superdry simply by it's colour or build even if it didn't have the massive logo or japanese all over it. There seems to be an identity crisis on the design side atm, potentially it's being overlooked as management are more focused on cost cutting and financing...
Only thing that would make me enthused about this share consolidation is an announcement of a major retail partnership + product launch the very same day the consolidation takes place.
But, I'm not holding my hopes very high.
It's basically just a share-option scheme for employees, probably more targeted at the management. Set-up off-shore in Jersey probably for the tax benefits. The new independent benefit trust is taking a £50k loan from MHC to purchase shares which can be used for future options.
They say it's a way of incentivising existing management whilst also attracting new talent.
Just accounting stuff for future share options with a view (in their words at least) to attract new talent & encourage management to take up more share options.
As much as I get frustrated with this company for the long periods of no contact, the missed deadlines and the seeming distaste of their shareholders, Penny is clearly a good leader who is aware of what people are thinking.
Key takeaways for me:
- Commercial distribution retailers were constantly mentioned in regards to delays of new products, heavily hints they want these on Lloyds/Boots shelves for the proper launch
- Q2 2023 (we're in that now) is the new date for the product launch
- The lineup is well branded and a good range
- The digital assets have had a lot of work done to them, with support for B2B relations not just D2C
- They are aware of their cash-rich position, buybacks were heavily hinted at IMO. The consolidation needs to happen before though so we don't appear as yet another AIM penny stock
If Penny pulls off what she's been talking about for the last couple of years, then we're certainly onto a winner.

Equity issue seems bizarre. Particularly as Julian has been buying shares. I'd never rule it out since unfortunately it is far too common on these markets but hopefully there's more that meets the eye
They should have positive net cash (albeit £1m) on their books from this sale and considering their latest balance sheet, or am I reading the numbers wrong?
The lack of communication here are beyond a joke at this point. Far too many times have I tried to defend Penny & co on their (lack of) investor relations.
The next update better be a meaty one.
Does seem like things are brewing up here. Chinese are normally quick to move when it's in their interest, and a significant yield Lithium mine most certainly is.
Bright days ahead!
Knowing our luck, we'll likely get the best RNS in years here released tomorrow morning. Right as the market is probably going to open to a bloodbath following the collapse of SVB and fears of other banks following.
Just looking into the SVB collapse and links to London listed firms. IDOX was actually featured on the corporate finance page of the SVB website, an RNS from 2019 detailed a borrowing facility that was at least partially supported by loans from SVB. These expired in December 2022, only just started looking into this so not sure how deep the link to SVB is with IDOX.
Thoughts?

They have great international connections!.... via the Castleford Bus Station lol
The Lloyds news just looks like management is restructuring and trying to manage their business better. I was a bit surprised to see that they were withdrawing from all Sainsbury's stores as Supermarket pharmacies are always busy from my experience.
This still seems cheap imo. I've been buying more. That was a very pleasant dividend.
This is a well-run company that clearly know how to run effective businesses.
All commodities have had a ramp up in price over the past couple of years, particularly last year. The difference with Lithium is that it's still a fairly novel commodity, at least in terms of being one that is widely traded.
It's pretty obvious Lithium has a supply-demand gap that is going to need to be filled, and rather rapidly, if world Governments are to meet net-zero targets that are getting ever-closer.
Nobody can say with 100% certainty what the price of Lithium, or indeed anything that is widely traded, is going to do tomorrow, the next day or the day after that. But the likelihood is that it will have a significant price for as long as the high demand is there.

The merchant collection stuff looks perfect for the M&S demographic tbh, hopefully, they end up stocking this range.
Very quiet here, I've topped up on the recent downturn. Very large spread (15%!).
The two tests you mentioned (below), if they are the next products could be big winners tbh. Both tests serve real-world practical purpose, I've mentioned before I have Crohn's and Iron deficiency is something I need to watch out for. Now, my bloods get monitored by the hospital, but that takes time, etc., so would I pay £10 if I was feeling particularly rough and thought it may be that? Absolutely.
Hopefully these get in stores ASAP.
