Gordon Stein, CFO of CleanTech Lithium, explains why CTL acquired the 23 Laguna Verde licenses. Watch the video here.
@ Saintsmith, when this reaches £54 Surfie can eat my 1960s whippet walking flat capper. Blue light, enjoy the final. Soak up every second as Italy might just get whoppered. Enjoy the moments at Wembley lucky man. If you see BJ there throw him some marbles as he has lost his:)
@Surfie, I’m telling brother surfies on his way to Auckland To shack up with him:)
P.S my brother has sold up in London and taken his family to New Zealand. I asked why? He said life is cheap here under conservative rule. Too much greed over power. They are now in strict isolation in NZ for a while!!
@Ad4you, so that’s the first two hospitals now on black alert. This is before full reopening in 11 days!!
Personally I believe masks should still be worn indoors until cases are at the same level as NZ!!!
They seem to cherish life.
More importantly testing now will have to be ramped up on a scale not seen before or BJ taking this monumental risk fully opening will backfire.
The concerns for me predominantly are long Covid increasing dramatically through herd infection, secondly mutations due to new avenues opening through sheer numbers enabling mutations to develop of a more dangerous structure.
I could also add that I have no idea at what rate and over what period the deterioration rate is compared to the 2 to 3 weeks following second vacc, where it is most effective.
Unprecedented times.
Liverpool mass testing has been hailed as a big success. Cut infections by a fifth.
Great posts last few days Novacytians. Been so so busy but check in now and then. Chilling now for football.
@ Porky, I disagree with you ref zero chance of a distribution of LFT to DHSC. For example the government loaned machinery to ODX and have signalled up to a 375 mil contract. I think NCYT, AVCT etc will get deals. I think your right the government want to run down stock of Innova. I do think as the stocks go down, maybe mid to end July then British companies will be feeding in supplies as Innova stocks dwindle.
Frankly the system is disgusting regards government contracts to friends of ffriends and family etc. Personally if Javid wants credibility he should listen to the FDA ref Innova and return unused stock!!!
If the British LFTs were in play now, I don’t think we would have half as many cases. Just my opinion, also my opinion people matter!!!
Amended, it’s 3 effin billion!!!
@ Porky, to put the dispute into perspective:-
If Innova LFT tests are only 50 odd percent effective and the DHSC has spent 3 mill plus. Shouldn’t the DHSC be in dispute with Innova for half the money back!!
@Naewise, oooh that is an old film but good point ref Jack Taylor.
Whichever country we wish to choose as an example, doesn’t matter. The virus is still here!! If it is not brought down to a low level worldwide we will continue to get mutations. We have been relatively fortunate so far that up to Delta variant it has not been catastrophic. What I mean by that is evading vaccines totally. If the world population is not brought to a very low level with Covid cases the virus will continue to mutate. Countries like Sweden will once again go through the next cycle like many other countries until a rigid test trace and isolate strategy is properly in place. We have yet to see that on an efficient thought out program. Surge testing to me is akin to fighting a fire that has been allowed to take hold. Prevention is always better than cure, a really good saying!!!
Vaccines have done a remarkable job at keeping the death rate down, let’s not forget that but the more cases there are the bigger the opportunity for nasty mutations to develop. Vaccines are not the holy grail. Vaccines, boosters and rigorous testing come closer. Vaccines need to be effective in the future as much as gold standard testing to get back to some sort of normality. Too much emphasis on vaccines and not testing will not get us out of the jungle and into free open space. Case rises give Covid the opportunity to mutate and if we let it then mutations in the future could be more severe to humanity. Gold standard testing that can identify new mutations and work alongside a vaccination program will save the day only when a methodical approach is delivered.
Are we on the tender list anywhere? Thanks:)
Are we on the render list for awards if successful?
MC will be busy covering his tracks before leaving office no doubt!!! If the rumours are accurate of his financial dealings. Will it ever be investigated? I doubt very much as there are a few in high power where it’s the norm now to do as they want.
@ bluebutton, it’s relative to testing if a program takes effect. I for one would like to know in six months time if the vaccines administered are still at a high level of protection but under a survey of the population that’s organised. Yes course I can pick up an LFT now and keep testing but that is pointless to me if there are doubts of Innova LFT accuracy. Pointless exercise to me if FDA have picked up on them. Need gold standard accurate tests!! Remember when Randox had a recall? Jockey club shenanigans!! When will the government care?
The problem we are facing next is once the population has been vaccinated with both injections, when does the immunity start to fade and become less effective? The race is on now for booster vaccinations for protection against new variants.
What is the governments plan to monitor immunity regression through time, through the different age groups?
Or are they confident that immunity is effective for a particular time line!
Is there a policy or expected policy to track but how and when?
@JP, good to see your still in. We have been through the mill with this one up to and since the luddites revolt!! Yes better news now, hope next week brings more. If we start getting more weeks like this week then we will all be happy with a steady growth uptrend.
I think if the SP makes double figures this year the company may opt for a share consolidation and reduce the number of shares like Aston Martin did fairly recently. I’d have no problem with that if sales were booming with repeat orders.
We are not out of the woods just yet but one or two big contract wins and I think then with growing familiarity and footfall will expand.
Personally I will feel more comfortable with a steady climb as orders drift through.
I’d still like to see the mask advertised on TV between soaps where there’s a good captive audience.
@ Mararab, if we achieve 10% of the Indian population we will all be very happy. The thing with these masks is once you get initial orders then repeat orders should follow.
Same goes too for filtration if that comes to fruition this winter!!!
JP, good too to see our fellow lead gladiator still holding. Things are looking a little tidier lately. Yes just need that first large NHS contract to start the snowball effect across the health system. Waiting patiently in anticipation on that.
Also now we have got a foot in the door in the Indian market, hoping for some big orders in the pipeline. Will we need a bigger pipe? We shall see soon enough.
@ Mararab and poorinveator, yep still here. Potential is still with us and slowly doors are opening.
Accessing the Indian market could be a very shrewd move and talks with other distributors there are happening. Getting companies and institutions to digest the worth of our products was never going to be easy. Once a few doors start opening then corridors will be full of rumours on this technology!
Getting the word out there is always a challenge. Dyson was there once trying to sell his first vacuum cleaner!! Still time to hit the market place. What I’d like to see is more news on product marketing in Europe and stateside. Let’s see what develops:)
It’s good to see positive news coming through now on future developments and sales starting to drip through albeit not huge sales at present.
The 5 ply mask was shelved and I was suprised to see its now been successfully developed after initial technical issues but now also holds MHRA approval. My guess there is the DHSC PPE team told Dr Cave if you can produce a 5 ply we would be very interested? Just my thoughts.
The development of filtration using nano technology was a no brainer, I mentioned I’d like to see this many months ago, now work is in progress and the potential here is huge. The main hurdles once developed is adapting air con systems so the filters can be changed with ease. Quite a challenge for aviation but if it gets the airlines back up with confidence in cabin and flight decks safer from virus invasion it’s worth the coatings to adapt systems for quick filter replacements. The Delta variant has now mutated int Delta plus now and there will be further mutations until our Dr Cave can convince industry he can wipe it out in localised areas.
A lot of work involved here but the potential is exponential.
I hope my fellow gladiators from the early days are still holding here.
We now need to see some big orders filtering through now we have been updated on R&D progress:)
