Gordon Stein, CFO of CleanTech Lithium, explains why CTL acquired the 23 Laguna Verde licenses. Watch the video here.
I'd be interested in the reasoning too.
Cheers all, 2nd day with some sunshine, so I'm making the most of it. More snow expected before month end.
Agree that the rules may thwart the intension, but the shorters are simply taking note of the new floor.
Trek, I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in thinking that your strategy could prove wise.
LL
BT, good for you to scrap a profit.
Current share price is about half what I paid for my shares, so it has a ways to climb before I break even, including those old divis....
My platform informs me I'm in profit as they have not included the loss when the shares were consolidated.
For those paying CG TAX ON THEIR HOLDINGS, I urge you to check the math before filing.
That said, the forecast divi forward is on par with my smallest workplace pension, and tax free to boot as it is in an ISA.
Thanks all for the insight on this. Ive noted over the last 18 months or so that several LSE stocks have highlighted their low valuations.
Question regarding institutional investor divestments: These have curtained momentum on share price rises every time over the past few years. What options does Scancell (besides delisting)?

Thought a few here would enjoy this. Where DEC has led...
Mount Vernon used to be the cancer hospital nearest me. It would be great if Scancell could run all their trials there.
OK, playing devil's advocate, here are some ideas about the why
A) in a trading account, dividends now attract a high rate of tax. CAPITAL GAINS TAX for a "sale" is much lower
B) could this be a legal mech to help ensure the share price does not get decimated by shorters?
Idle thoughts whilst trying to walk up a wee hill to see some stunning waterfalls. I did not make it as i am evidently still recovering and not fit enough. May need a few more months on the inhalers and some walking poles (hints have been dropped for Mum's Day - eg Sunday).
Until wall street bets come up with a counter programme which crucifies the shorters I hear.
Not sure DEC. Is on their radar yet, but I would imagine it is a win win - eg 25%pa yield plus the possibility of a large upside eg 20 times 109p plus - which is where the price was last year.

Anyone else fed up that LSE apparently have 10,000 boxes to untick in order to reject all cookies - some of which are active for 3,000 days?
Surely a REJECT ALL is necessary. I have spent 20 minutes try to sort out how to not accept, only to have to start over again.
Needless to say, I'll be deleting all cookies as soon as I post this.
Damofarl, Do you mean that D EC. do not have an extra £42M cash lying about?
In order to either pay the Divi OR buyback shares, they must have the £42M cash in my simple, humble view.....
Hope you can clarify either what you meant or how my simple view is not correct.

Indeed.... I am as well.
I am just try to eke out some additional tax free income.
I'm planting carrots this week and expect to harvest some of the babies in about 6 weeks or so. By then, we'll know if the board are going to cut the divi or not.... which may be a determined factor on whether some of the rest are used to make carrot cake.
Dividend - 6.8% for the quarter, so more than 25% annually.
Let's see how far it drops /recovers tomorrow as it goes xd.
I trust shorters realise that the short / long position is adjusted for the divi going xd. Not every share stays below the net price.

Net profit margin up 200% year on year....
Also, I think the US have special rules around their 401Ks, and there could be some circumstances where the withdrawals are tax free. It looks complicated.
GLA, LL
Stu, I think the USA has IRAs which I believe are not taxed until you take a distribution

So more like a SIPP
I hope they won't cut the divi as many LT holders have been hit by the drop and the divi can be used to average down the cost per share. Perhaps IIs may feel the same.
In which case, anyone else here glad that the market in general doesn't get DEC?
Clued, don't you need to fill the form in to recover half the withholding on dividends? Or is that another form
RR, re 8:02 if only the best were chosen, and not the one with the best lobbyists and/or deep pockets/favours, I believe world health would be in a much better position....
I would be very happy to be proved mistaken in my view that some of thr best solutions are bought out to be killed iff/ wither on the vine / etc to protect assets.
ATB all. For thise in the UK, it is a fiercesome wind blowing from the east up here. We only had flurries on the west coast, but other parts are getting pelted.
ATB All, LL
It was not me. My new average is high enough, thank you.
It is good to see that the short sellers are nit attacking Scancell as they have done to other LSE shares. Could be too risky if a deal is announced. . .
