everything i have been able to find on bonfirepay, they definitely cant have paid much for it, went on google street view at office address in Tenerife, nice place for a holiday!

they will definitely have money left over from the raise so will be interesting if they have another acquisition planned considering the size of the raise this time round compared to previous ones.

I think it might be a bit early for that Wayne, depends on whether people believe we will get results earlier than normal but since the ceo took over it has been end of the month. We will certainly know if the market is excited end of next week though.

End of the month

Yes sunny - as far as im aware the DSS is not affected by the change of government as it was an initiative setup by the FCA and the BoE and is still on track for the summer.

I’m hoping they have already engaged with the FCA early interest and so therefore might not be in a position to say at the moment. As so far it has been said there have been 19+ companies showing early interest but no names have been mentioned so therefore I’m assuming it’s all hush hush at the moment. That’s how I deduce it at the moment.

Sunny I do agree that would be game changing news but they clearly don’t want to say it for whatever reason. I can’t see personally what other next step there is in the UK market for their stablecoin without seeing what the legislation looks like when labour decide to look at it. Again I’m expecting or hoping for an update on that front when results are published, as it won’t be long after that when the DSS gate 1 opens for applicants

James from what I’ve been told there aren’t results specifically. They entered into innovations pathways to learn about the regulatory hurdle they need to over come to get their product ready for market, which regulations at the moment haven’t been finalised for them to enter. I thought they might go straight to authorisation after but that was on the basis of stablecoin regulations being done, which we know due to the election have been delayed. I would have liked for them to say if they intend to enter the DSS but am hoping they say in end of year results what their next step is. But I wouldn’t automatically assume there is something to report yet but we will see I guess

It was suggested that something went wrong, but they have almost certainly finished the pathway. Yes it would be nice to know next steps but until stablecoins regulations have been confirmed and the DSS is open there is little to report I would imagine

There is no update required on the pathway. You can’t fail it James, I’ve spoken to the FCA and it’s just a support function to help firms get to where they want to be at the end for the next regulatory journey. If the DSS opens and they don’t make an application then I’ll be concerned then but with clarity around stablecoin regulations not confirmed and no MLRs being registered since the beginning of the year there imho is nothing to report yet.

I will agree with some of what you have written here Kat, I personally was hoping for a blockbuster acquisition based on the amount placed so this business wasn’t what I was expecting. Still happy the company is moving in the right direction, but also hoping for more acquisitions. I was expecting or hoping on another semnet/easysend business aquisition and am disappointed that easysend is taking longer but I believe that business will be worth the wait. Easysend will need to post their accounts on companies house soon so we will get a good idea on how well that is doing. If it is doing really well then I’ll be guessing it’s going to cost a fair bit and end of year accounts will give us a clue on their current cash position and future cash position.

The end of year results and imho easysends account will answer all the questions I have.

The RNS is more important in that they are doing what they said they would do. Also adding more businesses and increasing GSTs reach is only a good thing. The results will be key but if there’s good growth then this MCAP will seem very small.

Wel it took longer than I’d hoped but the market now is reaffirmed that the placing was for an aquisition and the business continues to do what it said it would

The profit margins don’t make sense on that website, it says 0.02% but fees are 0.2% so there are some discrepancies in it. But they must have derived these figures from somewhere. I’ll email Tim and see if he knows anything. Doubt he will respond to me but if enough people ask maybe he will answer someone

It also doesn’t state when that turnover started from. Rollout of the exchange only happened at the end of the year so a few unanswered questions but overall it gives me some confidence until those questions are answered
