The heavily “promoted” financial services arm will, without the slightest doubt, lose money and contribute to the ongoing cash erosion. Unless Axel Springer decide to bid and integrate this rapidly sinking ship (shares down another 7% today) into their other European businesses-as was their earlier stated ambition, there is little doubt in my opinion that the company will be wound up within the next 12 months.

Lombard buying (with a representative on the board) suggests to me that their is no imminent news to come out from SEE that could move the SP without them running the risk (which they definitely wouldn’t do) of being accused of insider trading.
So-switch off those 7am alarm clocks-there’s no news coming before 2023. In the meantime, as mentioned elsewhere on these boards, the SP is likely to drop into the 5’s-at which level it’s still most unlikely that the senior execs, despite their various bullish messages to us private investors, will put their hands into their pockets and buy stock.

Agree. A high quality stock that has been harshly marked down despite continuing to deliver quality results.

Share transactions this afternoon in the 8’s as the business gallops remorselessly towards the knackers yards-hotly followed by discontent users posting highly critical revues on Trustpilot.

Almost 1m shares sold today (at prices down to 9.1p). Very few bought. The novice CEO may think that her business improvement strategy (scant few details of which are public) is working, but no sign that shareholders are convinced.
Suspect that we’ll see the price lower again tomorrow when the majority of private investors read press coverage of the awful ongoing results.

What is quite remarkable to me is that Axel Springer, a mega European business which has board representation, not only appear to be relaxed about having lost over £100m on their ill-timed investment, but are now choosing to support the status quo as the business careers headlong towards the knackers yard with a totally industry inexperienced executive team “supported” by a board that has largely overseen a catastrophic destruction of shareholder value. Perhaps they deserve all that they will get-which will be a bill from the receiver when the business goes bust.

Once upon a time (all the best stories start this way) I thought that my 1.7m shares in SEE (substantially more surprisingly than the CEO) would make me a lot of money.
A year or two later I began to think that they would make me some money.
As we approach yet another year end with still “jam tomorrow” the headline story, I begin to hope that in my life time I actually get back to my in price of 9.6 (50% up from here).
I’m not holding my breath!
