Our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with QuotedData's Edward Marten has just been released. Listen here.
@slicksandwets Forgive my ignorance but as concerning as this article is....what exactly is the relevance to the QFI message board?
Fyoz sorry did you really just compare the pollution crisis of China, the worlds most populated country at 1.4 billion people with an african island whose populations stands in the thousands?? For real?
cheers lads @mardler @TheOrns
Does anyone here know ways to get RNS alerts for companies like QFi etc through interactive investor app or any other apps?
I love your bullishness Skipper! You've even made me think about topping up haha... I certainly hope it's true and if it is the champagne will be on me! HAGWE
Although it's risk capital to me 30k odd is still something I would still like to salvage. The whole purpose of these boards is to express opinion, the fact that you so constantly challenge mine suggests your motives are suspect
No need to state the obvious blackwash, I'm a very small shareholder and have already disclosed that fact.
However, it's not so much the cumulative smaller shareholders who QFI would need to worry about with a placement, it's the larger ones, these eligible counterparties I am sure will hesitate pumping more money in unless they believe there's something new brought to the table eg a contract.
But it's all irrelevant anyway as it's highly unlikely they will go cap in hand to the investors so soon after the last one
Absolutely jack I am with you on that one, although I have also drawn a line and won't be buying anymore even at 7p, despite bing a gambler even that's too rich for my blood!
Although unlikely there will be another placement so soon after the last one, The ONLY way I would take up my allocation would be based on there being news released of an imminent deal - pre contract type thing!
Fyoz with QFI I don't know anything for certain and don't try and pretend I do!
I honestly have no idea what's going to happen.
Based on past events and the failure to commericalize to date, my gut tells me the board don't know what they're doing.
If they do pull off one contract though and others then follow, I will personally post here saying I called it totally wrong and I hope I get a much deserved slating!
I won't mind one bit by the way - because it will also mean I have finally netted some cash on an AIM stock!
At the end of the day I'm a gambler so will ride this one out, win or lose!
As for your point Fyoz, it's irrelevant whether you want to listen to me, I am not the most savvy investor and I'm the first to admit it...and maybe 95% of the AIM companies I have invested in I have lost money on!
I'm in a similar position to Petergar as I have written this one off, it's pure risk capital for me! And it should be risk capital for any investor as we all know any AIM company has a strong chance of going bust.
I think QFI will either go out of business inside 9 months or skyrocket to all time highs, I don't see any inbetween because if they continue along the current path of MOU's, mediocrity, and no contracts they will not secure the financing to keep them afloat. Having said that, if a big contract is signed, I believe others will follow and this should push QFI into the stratosphere... hence why I am holding on as maybe this is an AIM company I finally make a good profit on !
Well Peter although I don't think the BOD have the foggiest what they are doing, I do hope you're right and that you will be picking up the keys to your new motor in the very near future!
I am not selling anything, just was hoping some of the longer term shareholders might be able to provide some more reassuring info!
This is AIM, I have lost before so I am not risk adverse.. we all know this is the wild west and companies can easily go out of business..
For full disclosure I only have around 120,000 shares so even if it does hit the magic 1gbp per share level it won't be anything close to the retirement levels for me but I do hope you get that big pay day TheOrns!
@Skipper3 I'm not referring to MOU's. I am referring to revenue generating contracts, how many of those do QFI have?
It's funny how if you have a genuine concern and air it here then you are dubbed a concern troll.
My real concern is that with all the opportunity IMO2020 presents, the majority of firms in the industry have finalized their plans to ensure they are compliant with the new regulations.
I would have expected QFI to have several contracts announced by now and yet we still have 0...
Notice my last question was completely ignored... I'm sure this one won't ... cue the QFI propaganda team to come in and attack...
Frankly this is embarrassing! If you think posters on here can affect the share price you clearly all have a VERY exaggerated sense of importance! Sealion?
What a load of rubbish.
All the posters on here sound the same. Truly, truly sad.
I think you all need to get a life!
Thanks DoN very interesting article.. this does indeed seem to be a great opportunity.. I am not sure whether QFI are already speaking to Karpowership but I know they have very good links in the MENA region so you never know.
In the eyes of the other posters on here - who probably know a lot more than I do - where do you think QFI's first contract will come from? In other words, what is the lowest hanging fruit and deal which is potentially closest to being signed?
IMO these levels are very cheap, I am topping up!
Rob79 get a life lol..
Here's hoping for some REAL news soon! GLA!
Well considering I was responding to the investors post discussing todays RNS, yes. FYI RNS means Regulatory NEWS statement incase you didn't know.
I wasn't referring to the RNS I was referring to the fact that due to lack of news we are even discussing as trivial as this...
And straight away I get 'Shorter' and 'Troll' wow... talk about sensitive! FYI I am neither and am also hoping for some real news soon which will launch QFI to the stratosphere!
