My Story.......It all started several months ago feeding birds in the garden (nice pub garden with lots of wildlife), I was sat having a break one afternoon when a rat appeared on the bird table gatecrashing the buffet I had prepared earlier. Soon it was like a conga one after the other munching away. After googling all the many unsuccessful remedies that people had tried I came up with my own. Caustic soda granules mixed in with some tasty treats (put where the birds could not go) the rats loved it and scoffed the lot and kept coming back for more, Felt bad doing it! But they do tend to scoot around in sewers collecting and bringing back all the stuff we are trying to get rid of. Problem solved rats are gone. However, I have spent many many hours over the summer swatting bot flies who are presumably attracted by the rotten rodent remains lurking somewhere in the undergrowth!

Yeah poison is cruel, not only that you would have no control on where they die and rot away, the stench is awful so you just end up creating a bigger problem especially if they get stuck in a cavity or somewhere you cant find or remove them. Years ago I had a problem with mice and used the snap traps with bacon rind, worked instantly. Its one of those dilemmas though you don't really want to kill them but you don't want them in your home. Depends on the share I think, many have daily 1 trades without any RNS but just lately a few of my main shares (that rarely have a "code" 1) have and been followed with an announcement the same day or day after. Lots of theories on the 1 code. Maybe it was TW buying a pass for the next GM?

Dar realize now some posts must have been deleted yesterday, hence the confusion! Like your Stephen Hawking quote, he more than most has had to adapt to change and managed to survive much longer than predicted. (75, incredible with his illness) As for crossing the road I automatically look both ways now on a one way street after 3 near misses within a few weeks last year (one was a taxi)........Perhaps it was predestined for me to adapt to idiot drivers going the wrong way and not stopping at a red light! I worry that parents are teaching their kids to wait for the green man before crossing........He cannot be trusted. Interesting debate on Hotcopper about SGH, sounds like most PI's are going to vote NO and would rather see the comp go into administration then have the vultures pick the bones.
