Sodium ion batteries are low density e.g. lower range however Sodium ion works well in artic regions hence the Russians are more inclined to buy sodium ion. The technology is niche and will not overcome lithium solid state batteries (holy grail of lithium batteries).

Ghana’s ambitions to refine its lithium appear

challenging. Given the current outlook, any refinery

built over the next few years is unlikely to generate

much benefit for Ghanaians. The government will

likely receive less rather than more revenue from

its lithium because of having a refinery. A refinery

will also likely create limited direct jobs, and the

stimulus for other sectors is uncertain. Additionally,

a refinery will likely cause environmental and social

harms and have significant opportunity costs.

These potential opportunity costs include not only

investment in other sectors or funding to meet

social needs, but also potential trade-offs between

pursuit of lithium refining and other ways that

Ghanaians can benefit from their mineral wealth.

For example, the political capital, time and money

the government would need to spend (or forgo)

could reduce its ability to support local suppliers of

mining operations or the value addition of other

minerals. Instead, the government would benefit

from adopting a mine-and-monitor approach. This

would not only entail supporting the discovery and

development of more lithium in Ghana but also

monitoring how conditions for lithium refining

evolve. The market, technological and geopolitical

landscape is very dynamic, and the economics of

lithium refining could change significantly

over time.

If the government still decides to pursue lithium

refining in the next few years, it should work with

potential investors to avoid the biggest pitfalls and

increase the chances of success. As part of this,

it should ensure the refinery replicates tried and

tested designs from China, assess the feasibility

and benefits of developing capacity to produce

key reagents, and develop a strategy to use the

refinery’s byproducts. In any case, the government

should be transparent in its decision-making and

involve citizens at every step. Trust is essential

for managing public expectations and building

an understanding of the trade-offs involved.

By building trust, the government will improve

the investment environment and therefore the

prospects for lithium refining in the longer term.

Ratification occurs Atlantic has 2 years to get into production, with spodumene prices moving sideways there has been no rush after CR to ratification that's what shareholders must understand.

FID been stated by Neil Herbert recently as Q4 2025, that would make 1st production Q1 2028. Spodumene prices will be much higher than today's market IMHO.

That's my point TeddyKGB the rat in parliament. Keith stated the minister wanted to push it through in March. If you listen again RK Equity interview Keith states that with lithium in a down turn better to renegotiate with the Government on royalties because the way the agreement stands now it's not economical. Hence Atlantic renegotiating not the Ghanaian Government as stated by Keith Muller. These are sensitive market discussions that obviously at this near-term stage to ratification directors cannot buy, all in my opinion but that's basically why no directors could purchase apart from the last CR.

It's all across the board with lithium equities getting hammered not just Atlantic lithium, macro factors. Lithium carbonate back to 2021 levels. Goldman Sachs reporting restocking in 2025 higher li prices.

MIIF will come on board after ratification happens!

Just watched again Keith Muller said wants to get ratification done in April (delayed by the budget) when government returns in the next sitting of parliament, unfortunately last week in April, yes he didn't state April agree April return window. Well it will happen for sure, if Atlantic do a deal on lower royalties the markets would see that as extremely positive so yeah patience required. GROK stated the SP catalyst for ratification could be back to 20 pence plus plus.

Ghana parliament has no fixed date as yet to return to parliament from Easter holidays (April 20th) GROK suggested April 28th resumption of parliament. Yep ratification will drag on through May possible June.

Still hoping we could eventually get back to 33 pence.

This year is make or break for the company at least MIIF on board straight after ratification occurs in Q2.

RamonM as your aware it's just not Atlantic Lithium all lithium equities getting a hammering recently just take a look at Pilbara Minerals SP. If spodumene can get to a 1000UST by EOY, Atlantic will be far from dead.

MIIF already publicly stated recently that they intend to keep investing in Atlantic Lithium, very good news.

The company playing for time due to the fact lithium prices have been in a long-term bear market since October 2022. Surely investors understand once ratification signed off by parliament the company obligated by a 2 year timeline to production. Keith last interview with RK Equity stated the reasoning for new terms in favour of the company to be ratified in April. The CR for the company gives at least a 18 month runway so plenty of time for SP catalyst by EOY Q4.

Neil Herbert stated ratification Q2 2025 (April, May, June). Better for the company to sit back because of the clause within timeline to production after RAT.

The Mining Lease is subject to parliamentary ratification and the Company obtaining the necessary approvals and permits required by law in relation to its proposed activities, including but not limited to, the Environmental Protection Agency.

Under the terms of the Mining Lease, the Company must commence commercial production within 24 months from the date of its ratification and comply with Ghana's Local Content Regulations.

The Government of Ghana has publicly stated its ambitions for long-term lithium production in Ghana and its objective to establish itself as a major hub in Africa in the EV supply chain. Through the grant of the Mining Lease, the Government of Ghana supports Atlantic Lithium as its partner of choice in these ambitions, which include evaluating the establishment of feldspar production and downstream conversion opportunities in Ghana.
