I can't fathom that with all the risk committees, auditors, financial authorities, costing millions how this bond collapse on Bank balance sheets given the rapid interest rate rise is a shock to everyone again

What about the Portuguese and Italian banks they were very stressed also. Not sure about the French banks but the stressed state of major EU banks existed 4 years ago. Now add in the bond collapse driven by the rapid interest rate rises within must be getting critical. Their balance sheets if marked to market on gilts and bonds must be in a dire state. None of them could handle a run as they couldn't liquidate bond assets at balance sheet value to create liquid assets for a run. They would be forced to mark down on liquidating these assets. Eeeek

If the accumulator being fed by shorts does that mean shorts selling are increasing? At some point this dealing will have to unwind and the true nature of the buying be realised by the shirts buying to close their increases to feed the accumulator.

1. He could not get 75 % required. Free float and one ii would all needed to blick him
2. City code is all.shareholdwrs must be treated equally so.he would be stuffing friends family charirities etc with.low ball
3. Breach of fiduciary..certainly alot of evidence to support it
4..he would never be trusted again his name associated with anything would make him uninvestable

This is great news. Moulding has done a great job is a very good CCO but totally out of his depth as a CEO. He seems totally unable to manage shareholders

Moulding clearly a good commercial director but he isn't CEO material of a listed company

The underlying performance is clearly improving on new partners, new markets and large cost reductions on all major areas of costs which is where fundamentals are crictical

But moulding seems to be lacking on the fiduciary side and being open and honest by informing the market to act in shareholders best interests

This is where is where he seems incapable of learning a thing since capital markets days and his new chair and CFO don't seem to be plugging the gap either.

I wonder why

This is one moment I glad for brexit. Feels like deutche credit Swiss a few Italian and Portuguese banks are going to be asking for taxpayers money again. Or banks are well capitalised with sold balance sheets. Some in EU are doomed. The bond collapse will clear the swamp

Maybe not forcstat accounts but surely risk dept would be checking asset values liquidity to cover withdrawals. I'm not a banking or Basel expert but surely its normal risk management to check this. The bond assets must have dropped my a large magnitude to value them at 4% income rather than 1%.

Am I over simplify this?
