You cant get a reading of intoxication unless you take breath or blood. So how is anyone doing it. Probably since the symptoms/ effects manifest themselves in the eyes, head movements. Is intoxication effects like microsleeps? I dont know, just guessing.

Thelong, SEYE Certainly shouldnt be discounted. But i would say SEE are so far ahead of them. The algos that were in the CT6 are now on SEEs admission out of date, as they were written up to 2015/16. But these were software based and actually worked. SEYE have models out now software based and still dont have the functionality. So based on an algo v algo comparison who wins.? Dont get me wrong SEYE will get some wins but lets see what they are. Ambarella chip will/ should be good. It isn't auto validated and in fact they have little history of working in the auto field. Surprising that SEYE didnt approach bigger chip manufacturers who are already in the auto space. I think SEE have the upper hand for at least 3 years which could mean rfqs for auto covering 2021-2028 production. This opportunity needs taken and i expect the next year to show if it has as we expect. My opinion of course.

I do expect 2019 to bring the news we want with regard to OEM auto wins. Exactly when those happen is outside the control of SEE. There should be 12 RFQs either announced, started or decided in the next 12 months. Some are existing customers but most will be potential new ones. However Its the OEMs who pick the timescales. Personally if we get decisions on say 2 or 3 by end June that would be great. Perhaps another 3 or 4 by end Dec and more thereafter. Either way decisions are coming, Ncap and EU legislation have started the clock. Have a good weekend all.

And whaif it only took a shareholder who has 10% of such a company to be able to block any sale or takeover of that company under Aussie rules. Phil, perhaps its because they talk of L2 when you dont necessarily need a DMS. Like Tesla. The testing by BMW in China mentioned by S2020 talks of L2+. This level which technically doesn't exist in the SAE levels (was invented by Nvidia) BMW state as hands off. Which surely must have DMS. The issue is the levels get blurred. Supercruise is more L2+ than L2. When there has to be a hand back means you need DMS but in theory L2 means the driver is always in control. Plain as mud and as new models come out by different OEMs they will claim to have varying degrees of Levels. In my opinion if you let go of the wheel you need DMS. I think?

Probably because there is no independent body to statistically confirm what they say. The notification by OEMs to state what miles and driver handovers is voluntary. Each state in the US has to 'authorise' the use of autonomous driving so they would have to convince each state of the safety record of Tesla. Also Tesla's definition of AV seems at odds with the rest of those in the area.

Red, i think SEE are taking a pragmatic approach. They pick and choose who they bid for, since they have to service existing won contracts and be able to service potential should they be successful. Sebs is right when saying we have strongvT1 partners. Volvo would be a statement. SEYE will get wins and i won't lose sleep over it.
