This is in anticipation of wins i think. Nick said in the proactive interview that the 5 rfqs are in N America and Europe which implies that Japan has not gone to rfq yet, however they could all be at rfi and testing.

So the next question is with things progressing so quickly - NCap and legislation and even with the chip taking say 18 months how will they not fall behind?

Remember the Ford chip win rns was June 2018, the Byton chip rns was July 2018, so for them to test and decide they would have had the chip rigs say 6 months previous. So say late 2017.
If they had the chip then, so would all the T1s and OEMs. So japan could have been testing the SEE chip for at least a year now.

L3 bought the commercial FFS business from Thales. But that leaves their Helicopter training and all their military divisions. The Thales military side is big.

We know about this but i didn't know it was CAE who are the flight sim company.
CAE are big in FFS equipment and suppliers to Emirates. Shows we are working closely with L3 and CAE. Commercial involvement in domestic airlines is one thing but involvement with defence and their requirements is another level.

CAE are the biggest supplier of "Civil" Simulators and are the provider for Emirates. CAE are big in Defence and Security Sims as well.
Recently we heard that Qantas are building their second training centre in Australia. However L3 who have the training provider contract for the first centre (and our kit is being installed at factory level) have dropped out of the contract for the second centre. It wouldn's suprise me if CAE were involved in the second Quantas training site.
