GB2, the way I read it is that this is another formal relationship the same way Veoneer (Autoliv) was, and we had an RNS which said "SEE announces that it will work in collaboration with Autoliv".(Aug 2017)

So if this is another "collaboration" in the same style then why not issue an RNS stating who it is??...... unless if we were told who the T1 was it would point directly at at least 1 massive OEM...... Denso could be a very good shout.

The Aptiv tie up with Affectiva is interesting - they seem to be more focussed on the drivers head pose, facial expressions and tone of voice. They have collected their data by analysing 7.5million faces in several countries.

Affectiva were in the LIV3 demo car at CES so along with SEE tech and Nuance so the systems can work together. However I have no idea in terms of cost if they will be used together by OEMs.

The hand over at speed clearly is an issue to some DMS suppliers and it may be this that Tim Edwards alluded to and perhaps Affectiva is trying to be all things but I don't know what their real world testing of the eye tracking side is.

Aptiv year end results are out soon and they are apparently going to talk about 2019 developments so we may know more later.

Terrym, no - Thales sold their Civil Aviation FFS production/Training to L3 a number of years ago - they kept their helicopter and I think some of the military training. In the HuMans project for Thales it is SEYE working with them.

There are about 1300 Civil Aviation Full flight simulators in use in the world and I believe L3 have over 20% of them. A lot of the current ones that were branded Thales are owned by L3. The biggest provider of FFS are CAE who have about 55% of the market in Civil Aviation. Emirates (all) and Lufthana (most) use CAE so hopefully we make some sort of inroads into CAE in the same way Qantas go us in with L3.

Cold, I'm sorry if you missed your buy in level. But if a board member buying some shares does it for you then fair enough. Although no matter what they would buy would never be enough I assume. The explanation of why auto outcomes are delayed has been given and nobody else has announced new wins so it seems plausible. OEMs trying to work out how to put DMS into all future cars. In the meantime I'll take the first couple of aviation contracts and an initial role out fleet UK&Ireland. Am expecting news on Emirates. Cant say why but the L3/Qantas contract is bigger than you think. This year we should know a lot more and hopefully it will please most on this bb. You probably should invest now. IMHO.

- Car sales 86M

- deduct 26M for China as nobody knows what will happen there

- Leaves 60M

- if 40% have DMS by say 2023 (or 2022)

- Gives 24M

- if SEE get 25% of Market = 6M

- 6M @ $20 = $120M a year

-Say buyout at 20 x multiple would give $2.4Bn so about $1 per share ( there will probably be dilutions so less than this). These percentages and figures are ultra conservative.

-Now having said the above I expect the FORD contract alone to exceed 6M cars on it's own so what really will the potential be in 2022/3 ???????

It's understandable that OEMs want to keep a lid on who/what they are using until the model is released. When contracts are announced it wont be too difficult to know who the OEMs are in US, EU and other worldwide places. Japan may be a bit more difficult but news gets out and the contributors on this BB run deep in their contacts and ability to find out things. Not just google.....

Ford didn't know how to deal with the handoff/handback from car to human so they were going to skip that bit. Now they do know and realise it is critical going forward to get that bit right.

The SEE contract with Ford will turn out to be massive.

Whilst this article is about LG gesture system, it pretty much confirms that LGE is the T1 we are working with in Mercedes OEM contract. With this one line ..... "LG already has a deal with Mercedes for a camera system that can tell if the driver is drowsy."

Formal collaboration agreements are worth a lot more than just working with a T1 to implement a DMS.

Veoneer must be delighted that they made that decison back in August 2017 (as Autoliv) to collaborate with SEE as they have 2 design wins both with the Fovio chip.....and I suspect a lot more to come.

Whoever it is knows the quality they are getting and clearly know the way the market is heading.
