Shakey - Respectfully, I don't agree.
Yes, this is not the place for this discussion, but you've just had your say, so I think I should have mine. I will preface this by saying that I have had Covid and am still suffering, my wife has had it and my 5-year-old daughter is showing a sign of long covid atm, it's not just about deaths. In fact, the lockdowns have prevented the NHS from being overrun, which as you will know, so we don't really know how damaging it could have been without the lockdowns.
My point of view is based not just on my "opinion" but on the opinion of the scientific community who have published their research in peer-reviewed academic journals. The CMO will base his advice to the government on this independent and expert advice.
The key point i always make when conspiracy theorists spring up [you seem to be one] is that the UK government is full of inept planks that couldn't organize a ****tail party in a nightclub. Literally, Han**** shares his brain cell with Williamson. I wouldn't employ these people to clean my house, let alone organsie a far-fetched program of social and financial restructuring involving other governments and millions of stakeholders. The point is a practical one rather than anything more philosophical.
