RE: Still Invested ?9 Nov 2025 11:13
Morning FM. I am not currently directly invested in AI, though may have a couple of investments that are highly dependent on it. I certainly don’t see AI as a passing fad, its uses are continuing to unfold in so many areas. All AI apps and sites were blocked by my work NHS , due to the ‘ great unknown’. Recently they have approved an AI site that can help with administration work. Using the AI can save many hours work over the week. So even the NHS which is usually years behind in the technology field is beginning to use it. The pharmaceutical companies are also widely using it in research and it is showing to provide results far quicker than conventional methods.
So yes, I personally think AI is amazing and the uses are increasing all the time.
Though………..I think like Michael Burry also stated recently, the big AI players are already hugely overpriced and it looks like the AI bubble is about to burst. It will obviously still continue to be a huge investment sector and long term a good investment.
Jim Mellon reminds me of older relatives. Five years after you’ve been trying to persuade your aging aunt to get a mobile phone, they then eventually get one after everyone else and find it’s the best thing ever.
Seed seems to have a similar investment style.
Factom blockchain was already behind the field. Cannabis investment bubbles were starting to pop just as Seed started investing.
Now this change of investment area also seems to be a little late to the game. I do believe an early investment in a small AI company in a niche field could provide huge returns long term. The problem is will Seed be investing into the most promising lucrative companies, or those that will support friends and family regardless of their prospects ?
