Probably 20% is money the government owes itself, across different agencies. They generate more revenue than anticipated and then buy treasuries instead of keeping cash.

The biggest holder of debt is domestic - pensions funds etc in the USA

Only 7.4 Trillion of the debt is owned outside of USA. Again probably around 20% is foreign based.

I dont think its as bad as people make out and with AI i expect corporate earnings to explode so higher tax revenue. I work in IT and i see the impact starting to happen in the industry - and for now the main beneficiaries are the usual suspects - Big Tech

China has been dumping dollars for years but there is no massive problem. Look if China is selling dollars someone is buying dollars. I expect its more than likely to do with Taiwan plans but thats just my view.

I do agree Gold will go up as always but some of the statement given are ridiculous. If BRICS set up a gold backed currency then its just another gold derivative. It wont have the impact people expect - just some poor countries been able to buy and trade together - the currency will be limited, most BRICS dont have significant gold volumes. Will China trade to itself in Gold D:).

In fact if Uzbekistan joined BRICS it would be ranked 3rd in BRICS with regards to volume of gold.

China - economy is fake just built on massive debt which they have hidden in the municipals instead of centrally in government. Most the growth over the last 40 years is through home building, but that bubble burst. Their economy is screwed and no doubt if Trump comes in power it will get worse for them.

I don't think they should ban short selling. They need to change the governance. I see it in a few shares where the shorts sell to out number buys, drop the price and buy back and then prices goes upwuickly in 1 day. Rinse and repeat. That practice should be banned. Depends how far into planning they are. Companies don't raise an rns immediately come on. Or they could manipulate the sp by saying we are thinking of doing xzy based on a thought a guy had on the toilet. Commercial offers take time to calculate the business case, and then approve, then rns would be raised

1. Their economy is fake. Its based on developers building properties, all debt driven by excess levels which is giving the sector its own 2008 rerun. They have more houses than people and at the same time many ppl paid in advance for houses that will never be built

2. Youth unemployment is so high the fix is to stop reporting it

3. They over stated their population by 10 per cent which means 10 per cent of working age youthsjust disappeared and their average age is now very old

4. They lie on economic growth amd that's been happening forever

5. They lie on government debt. They make the municipals carry the debt so it makes the government look good but its still government debt

6. Many companies are exiting China as they cant be trusted

Probs why they want to invade Taiwan. China won't be any superpower anytime soon in my opinion

I think everyone is forgetting the aws service went live in June. That should mean the next update should at least tell us if they are selling this service and also may some revenue this fiscal year. If so then happy days. If not then the CEOs position is questionable for sure

Peakyclemoc - why do they need to do that? They generated 180 mill fcf in H1 and paid down 500 mill debt over the last year. I think its mental to think cutting the divi would matter. I think its the revenue drop is the problem but that's the market getting ahead of itself. If a company says they will deliver X, why does the market then punish them for delivering exactly X as they said they would. The AWS service started only in June so nothing has materialised yet but that will deliver over the next year.

Mentions debt...did it reduce or increase...reduced yet again. Always go on about bankruptcy...company generated 190 mill fcf in half a year, not including the sale of the archive business and debricked purchase. Please explain the logic behind bankruptcy as I'm confused
