Happy Christmas Irish (sorry to learn of your situation!), Crusty and all other fellow AEX travellers.
Business and Portfolio-wise, 2020 has been the most desultory year in my long life but the joy of a new grandchild in April and the almost masochistic enjoyment of the cutbacks that self-isolation has brought make me very reflective and appreciative – especially on this fine day – of just what I might have traditionally taken for granted.
So, y’all have a good ‘un eh?

Hi gaslady and all other LTH's
I kept just a couple of million which could now turn out to be a lifesaver!
If it even gets back to the 7p peak of about 4 to 5 years ago I shall be very happy as I had written this off entirely!!!!!!

Hi Trek
I'm still around but keeping my head down after my appalling misjudgment of the hypocritical Alan Minty and his "Pascal's wager" baloney!
I just hope that the Good Lord reserves him a special place in whatever Hell exists for such charlatans to consider the abject misery their appallingly greedy and self-centred egos visit on people who get taken in by their untruths.
Thanks for your words Trek - they mean a lot!

For what it's worth I've never traded shares as it's just not what I do so, hand on heart, I've never posted anything that I have not genuinely believed as it is beyond my own moral compass to try to influence others with what I know to be untruths.
As regards the Minty clan, I can tell you that the shock of being taken for an absolute blithering idiot at my age (nearly 70) has actually counted far more to me than the loss that I have made as I genuinely believed these serial obfuscaters.
How Minty can look at himself with anything other than abject contempt for the misery he has caused so many people is beyond me and I hope there's a special tortuous place specifically reserved for him in whatever Hell he believes in.
For my part, I have just exchanged on a lovely bungalow in Swanage - smaller than might have been had I ever been told the truth and reality by said Minty - and my wife and I are looking forward to being close to my family in a place where we can welcome friends and her family to stay in that glorious part of our country.
One strong lesson that this disaster has taught me is just how important good friends and family are as I can tell you that having been to places in my head that I never want to re-visit, their personal support and comfort have left me totally humbled. and I shall be thinking of that as I stroll along the beach with them tomorrow.

"Everything involving the Minty's is just robbery in scruffy suits" is a really amusing and apposite line that defines what these people have visited on their unsuspecting shareholders.
I've just posted this on another board:
"Unfortunately, my eyes were opened rather late to the man that Minty actually is rather than the man of principle and religion that he purports to be.
Subsequent to this I have heard from several of his former close friends who tell me that his favourite epithet for shareholders is: "f**kwits"which really says more about him than us.
The man has no shame and deserves to rot in his own private hell but shameless people like him - think AH - never quite seem to get it whilst there's always somebody about to blame.
I shall have a different kind of Christmas to the one I might have expected had the Minty family - and that includes Damien - delivered on PROMISES but at least I can look myself in the face and not worry about any dangers lurking in the shadows of my life.
Happy Christmas all!"
Minty once told me that he has religious feelings leaning towards Catholicism and cited "Pascal's wager" as providing his own moral compass but he was clearly having a laugh as the man tramples directionless through his and other's lives lacking any feeling or responsibility for the abject misery he causes.
And if you're reading this Tej Minhas, you share equally in the responsibility for disseminating as facts what you clearly must have known to be waffle.
I have extensive contemporaneous notes from conversations with Minhas including the "I looked over Jordan and what did I see?" baloney that I was fed by TM some years ago and I intend to write this and other laughable "insider" conversations into a legible narrative when the dust settles here.
I shall then make absolutely sure that these notes follow people like Minhas wherever they surface to illustrate to whoever cares to read them what utter conniving "folk" they are dealing with either as their employee(s) or friends.
Happy Christmas all!

Sorry to see you go but fully endorse your sentiments about the Mintys, with the inclusion of our erstwhile mukka Tej, who ever-so-ably assisted them in all their Machiavellian machinations.

Hi
I have been contacted by Simon to advise that I need to issue a TR- to confirm that my previous holding is now less than 3% of the new shares in issue which I have just sent to the FCA.
Just to be very clear, I have not sold any shares at all since the last TR-1 in about July 2018 and I still hold over 70 million.
Good luck to all!

Just returned to my laptop to post exactly that thought but you beat me to it.
I believe that I am the largest holder as at today so that makes sense unless it's ???????????
LT
Will that not require a TR1 on the shares in issue today or am I missing something?
LT
Many reading this will say that these are the words of a “trapped holder” and they would be half right as I certainly do not intend to sell at these low prices and actually realise a real loss but my intention to hold is now much more solidly based on having men in place that I know will be working for themselves firstly but will enable shareholders to “slipstream” on what I now view as a pretty good chance of success.
Bon chance to all holders!

A really excellent post that encapsulates a lot of the "dots" that were alluded to at yesterday's meeting without naming names or locations which was understandable in the circumstances.
As a shareholder in both NUOG and Aminex, I have to admit that I had been worried about Jay coming on board so soon after leaving Aminex on health grounds as I had been very aware of some kind of "issue" that had become noticeable in his demeanour in podcasts etc.
I am glad to report that Jay looked very fit and was really in command of his brief …… really, to the point that everyone that I spoke with after the meeting were really impressed with him and his confidence in delivering something in the next 3 months as the £500,000 raised would certainly not see them through the 6 months they have by AIM rules to sort something out with the “shell” company.
It was almost as if they realised they are on a very fast-moving train with the buffers actually in sight but with absolute certainty in their respective abilities to ensure that the deal that only they know about right now is concluded well before the train crashes – excuse the analogy but it works for me.
You can probably imagine the places that I have been to following the collapse of NUOG and the realisation that EVERYTHING that I had researched and been told by NUOG people – don’t worry, they know who they area! – was total and utter tripe.
I thus arrived early at the meeting with very low expectations and I am sure that my body-language must have communicated how depressed I was at the complete loss of so many years of support for the company as well as a life-changing fortune that I had become convinced I would never recover even a fraction of.
My early arrival gave me time to talk to the “movers and shakers” who were very aware of the car-crash nature of my situation but who went out of their way – and they didn’t have to – to reassure me about who they were and where they saw the NUOG picture developing.
As I have learnt from bitter experience, life offers no guarantees but their openness and confidence in the short-term delivery of a deal was almost palpable.
Only a handful of shareholders attended but it is worth noting that 2 were very erudite and astutely researched people who had increased their holding(s) recently; indeed, one of them was the subject of a recent TR1 who had increased his holding after taking advice from several brokers etc with whom he has contact and who were very supportive and positive about the new guys and what they might bring to the table.
We are all grown-ups here and know that dilution is coming BUT what will really matter, at the end of the day, is the value of the Company and JB set his ambition for this as between $100 to $200 million which seems fair enough to me as even with say 10 billion shares that would value the shares at many, many multiples of where they are now. ......./cont
Hi cp
Slightly off topic but I met up with Jay B at NUOG's re-launch yesterday and he was on top form, clearly recovering from whatever had smitten him but telling me he has residual "issues" which he did not go into.
That said, the change in him from the persona that we had all started to slightly question was very marked and he certainly exuded gravitas which was universally acknowledged, even by some die-hard negativists!
We talked about Aminex and he confirmed just how difficult dealing with various local bodies could be BUT he "let slip" that it certainly looked very much on the cards that something was brewing which he expected to be announced over the coming weeks, actually giving me the impression of something before Christmas.
What that might be is anyone's guess but he certainly gave me the strong feeling that shareholders' patience is about to be rewarded.
I still hold about 2 million so hope he's right!!!!!

This new site of thecashmoney's that you're so heavily promoting isn't because thecashmoney is your alter ego as a very knowledgeable little bird told me - just asking out of transparency's sake??????

First off, thanks to those on this board that have given such supportive comments this afternoon which has been very humbling as well as also reinforcing my genuine believe in the inherent goodness that exists in most people!
As for TheBlueHorseshoe - I had a lot of time for you back in the day and I have a lot of time for you now as you had then, and still seem to have, the measure of NUOG using what I can only describe as a clinical and dispassionate approach to the in-depth analysis of NUOG that informs your opinion.
Oh how I wish I’d followed your advice all those years ago but it’s no good looking back other than to learn vital lessons for the future which I hope I have.
I read with intense interest your post warning others about having too high an expectation here - advice which I would recommend other people take due note of!
Herbie, for what it’s worth my first exit point still has a “5” in it but it’s now actually .5p when I might just sell off a couple of million but thereafter I shall be watching this very keenly and, should it become clear that the shareprice has run out of steam at any level around that price then I shall adjust my expectations accordingly ……… which I rather wish I’d done the last time my path crossed with TheBlue!!!!!!!!!!!
Good luck all!

Well, for my sins - and I have many - it isn't me!

I have recently come to realise that I was taken in by the "Minty hype" over many years which has cost me very, very dearly but for which I have only got myself to blame.
To anyone that I have influenced in either buying or holding I can only apologise.
I see no alternative other than to give the benefit of the doubt to the "newbies" but they have a real mountain to climb and it certainly is not going to be easy.
For pretty obvious reasons I shall not be posting much in the future but wish everyone the very best and genuinely hope something is salvageable from this almighty mess.

herbie - still alive and still holding ..... what a plank I must be eh?
