"Clearly something the market knows about............" Yes the debt, they are working on the here and now and they are wary of AM just as many PIs are at the moment. I agree with the market, until they see money on the table they see nothing else. We as PIs who stay in see the longterm, WTI$100 plus, war in Ukraine continuing, Europe energy shortages, possible Taiwan problems, anyway you look at it oil will stay high and COPL have potential 500 MMbbl on land. I honestly think there are many scenarios that could happen before end of the year, there must be pressure on AM now to walk the walk or move away, Federal and State politics is now added to the equation.
50,000 seller seems to of done some sp damage today. Could be the seller is not expecting anything until drilling announcements at the end of the year, for myself there is oil in the ground and more to be announced so I am expecting a good chance of some sort of merger or TO. If the price is right AM could well change his mind, he has a history, he mentioned JV, then took it off the table but the idea is still there.........why did he say it?
Agree with everything said but what keeps me staying in that COPL must be ripe for TO at this sp. There is oil, I agree that the figures for recovery err on the side of caution but RS has to protect its integrity. I think there are many who would take around £1 right now. This is too much of a one man show, ad nauseum.
drlong, I only want 60sp and then I do not have to watch anymore kitchen interviews, check my history. I have supported the "new discovery" but after that there is only sell to a major. Does anyone who supports AMs view of progression that an investment is also meant to go up. I am in Tiburn's stable that majors are circling hence I have not sold. Shareholder value?
So I am to "....sell up and move on" after 4years and 6 months invested after working for 10 years in Nigeria. Nigeria is a disaster, COPL have struck oi. luckily, see my history ad nauseum. I know it was luck because he "nearly fell off his chair"............he was not expecting it. AM talks shareholder value, no more I have a great idea, sell to a major, they are watching. COPL do not have the muscle to exploit this "new discovery". I have not sat in comfort from my armchair, I was in the offshore oil industry for 42 years, 20 years as a diver........what were you doing.........!!!!!!
