Looking at loading more gold longs in the 1301-1298 region targeting 1360.. it is possible that the low was 1305 as it has held up pretty well so far. Anybody looking for an entry on the DOW?.. I've never traded it before ... the indices can be pretty brutal if you don't time it rite..

Morning all and thanks for the welcome :-) Broke - that chart is certainly a possibility and I have seen a few other views very similar to that however personally i dont believe we will break bellow 1240 again. Also worth having a watchlist of those discounted gold miners, once it breaks the channel to the upside it could and will imo be touching new highs in the next year or 2.

Hot - As Broke said Gold is a complex beast and to be honest I really dont think there is a rule of thumb to the way it moves other then it loves Fibonacci. The break out im referring to is purely based on it breaking the long term channel .. nothing to do with indices, market sentiment, dollar strength, Geo political events amoungst many others possibilities. So although yes it can be effected by any means of things ... this particular break out has been a long time coming and will happen 'eventually' regardless of anything else. (personally think it will be above 1450 before October/November) Broke - Yes not looking to good across the board at the moment and certainly not a bad time to be buying gold, i certainly wouldn't rule out one more bear run to catch some SL's. ATB

broke FWIW i wouldn't be heavily selling as when it breaks the channel it will be going up not down.. if it goes down it will break the kumo on the monthly which really isn't going to happen imo .. I know lots of people who are constantly loading longs no hedging just loading up.. if it drops buy more if it drops more buy some more... GLM

Broke - check out www.forexfactory.com some very good gold traders over there. Imo we have one more bear run down to 1291 or possibly lower before a decent run to the upside this side of christmas. If it breaks 1322 then next stop 1340 before the selling continues... i rode it from 1277 up to 1310 and have scalped out over the last few days. GLM hare one to trade that :)
